The great thing about their panic attacks is that they become intemperate and begin to tell the truth—which is that they believe only they may control the narrative.
Practically within minutes of January 6, the Democrat establishment, both politicians and the media, had their narrative in place: It was a violent insurrection that justified the biggest FBI manhunt in history, saw Democrats conduct a kangaroo congressional hearing to cement the narrative, deprived hundreds of people of their constitutional rights, and cowed Biden’s opponents into silence lest they too be accused of “insurrection.” For those same two years, the Democrat establishment resisted making public 14,000 hours of video footage showing J6 events in and around the Capitol, claiming that to do so was too dangerous. Now, though, with Kevin McCarthy having made the footage exclusively available to Tucker Carlson, the media are singing a very different tune.
One of the sure things about Democrats is that they firmly believe that, as Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds…. With consistency a great soul simply has nothing to do.” Or, put another way, when you’re a narcissist, the one consistent point when it comes to “truth” and “narrative” is that both must always serve your needs. (I’ve never had a high opinion of Emerson, and I have a very low opinion of Democrats.) Nothing shows that more clearly than the “turn on a dime” response in the media regarding the 14,000 hours of video.
For the past two years, the media have insisted that the 14,000 hours of video footage are irrelevant and that making the footage public would permanently endanger those who work (and posture) in the Capitol. Nothing like a little panic when there is a little glitch in the narrative of their show trial.
You know media’s lying when they don’t want footage of events released.
I have two takeaways from this article.
1) “I’ve never had a high opinion of Emerson, and I have a very low opinion of Democrats.”
Damn fine quote from probably my favorite columnist, Andrea Widburg.
2) “CBS News, CNN, Politico, ProPublica, ABC, Axios, Advance, Scripps, the Los Angeles Times, and Gannett together sent a letter to Kevin McCarthy demanding that they, too, get to see the tapes.”
If McCarthy has a hair on his ass, he should make them use a FOIA request, then charge them $1000.00 per hour of tape.
That is similar to what is frequently charged to the conservative press and public.
Also known as "skin off their azz."
Apparently it is a new experience for many of the prog.

The CIA/deep state has been planning insurrections and meddling in other soverign countries around the world for decades to carry out "regime change."
Watch this short video (click here) to see examples. They just pulled a plan off the shelf and turned it on us! Heck, it could even have been the plan they used for regime change in Ukraine in 2014 (Maidan Revolution).
The Jan 6th plan was made weeks, probably months, in advance.

The MSM meme no this is that the J-6 Committee already reviewed the tapes, so there’s nothing to see.
They really are the pathetic, and their audience really is that stupid.
The mainstream media accepted the January 6 committee’s judgement on what videos are released but they question Kevin McCarthy when he’s speaker of the house. They are surely biased against Kevin McCarthy.
Not having a “high opinion” doesn’t necessitate a “low opinion”
But I do have a RWE book on my desk that I’ll occasionally read.
Why should the main stream media panic? They have been sounding the clarion on the J6 insurrection for going on 3 years now, should this not aid in their efforts to expose the villains?
Indeed it will, however the true villains are not the villains they have been presenting to the world with their coverage and narratives.
The disinfecting light of truth is most welcome.
