My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell says he plans to sue Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) for providing Fox News host Tucker Carlson with exclusive access to footage from the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.
Lindell told Steve Bannon’s “War Room” podcast on Thursday that his streaming platform Lindell-TV plans to sue McCarthy, claiming the Speaker violated the First Amendment’s freedom of the press provision and the Fourteenth Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause.
The Trump ally said Lindell-TV is “injured by not having access” to the tapes and that the Speaker’s decision represented discrimination.
“We’re not gonna sit back and let that happen,” Lindell told Bannon, former White House chief strategist. “Why does just Fox get this? So they can cover it up even more? It’s disgusting. All of us, including War Room, we all need to see what’s on those tapes, and we need to see all of them.”
The Justice Department and the now-defunct House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack both previously expressed an interest in obtaining information from Lindell, who was a key proponent of false claims that voting machines had been manipulated in the 2020 election.
McCarthy’s office granted Carlson access to about 41,000 hours of Capitol surveillance footage around the time of the Jan. 6 riot, a Fox News spokesperson confirmed to The Hill on Monday.
McCarthy has defended his decision, saying he previously pledged to release the footage.

He should. Anyone who does not recognize the scam of only releasing this to Tucker(Therefore Fox News) is a lame brain. And it is very sad that MTG was on twitter praising McCarthy for this. Saying that his promise had been fulfilled.
He may be right but I doubt he has a case.
Hard to say if Lindell is being petty through the lens of the Hill.
Mike forgot to sue Pelosi for not sharing it with anybody, when it clearly contains exculpatory evidence for several wrongly convicted J6 protesters.
It’s not only petty but stupid and likely to lose, he’s alleged DeSantis cheated in the last election, claimed to have of the 2020 election being rigged and the Supreme Court would overturn the election by a 9-0 vote, I appreciate his efforts but at times he’s a nut

Ok. What’s the legal claim? They do have notice pleading in the federal courts as opposed to some states such as here in CA where the cause of action must be identified and the elements of the cause of action must be pleaded with specificity in the complaint. Still, a legally cognizable claim has to be pleaded in federal court. Labeling giving the tapes to Tucker a “scam” doesn’t strike me as a claim that would survive a motion to dismiss
I totally agree — have been posting this since Tucker was given the tapes.
McCarthy and Paul Ryan have been buddies since their “Young Gun” days in Congress.
Paul Ryan has said he’d do anything to stop/harm (can’t recall which) Trump.
Ryan is Tucker’s boss.
McCarthy still has a long way to go to prove he’s not a RINO. He’d go a long way toward redeeming himself if he would release the tapes to about 10 different media outlets including Revolver.news and War Room (let Natalie Winters and Darren Beattie do their investigative magic).
Better yet, post all of them online for all of us to see. The RATs are whining that “they’re the people’s tapes” and shouldn’t be released. WE are “the people”.

Seriously? If the tapes are exculpatory for Trump do you really think Paul Ryan will permit Tucker to report honestly, or tha “all will get to see it”?
Sure - if I want to make sure something is covered up, I will give it to a NEWS NETWORK.
