Aaron Rodgers has emerged from his darkness retreat, according to the owner of the facility in southern Oregon where the Green Bay Packers quarterback spent the past several days and nights.
Scott Berman, who owns Sky Cave Retreats, said Rodgers left the dark room and the facility Wednesday
efore entering the retreat, Rodgers said on "The Pat McAfee Show" on Feb. 14 that he had scheduled four days and four nights in darkness isolation and was hoping to "have a better sense of where I'm at in my life." Rodgers said he was not going to the retreat just to figure out whether he will play in 2023 or retire.
Welcome to the NFL offseason: Key issues to solve, from evaluating safety and officiating to awaiting Rodgers' decision 9dKevin Seifert Rodgers, 39, is under contract with the Packers for $59.465 million guaranteed if he plays in 2023. The four-time NFL MVP has played his entire 18-year NFL career for Green Bay.
Packers president Mark Murphy said earlier this month that there was no deadline for Rodgers to make a decision but that he hoped for a resolution before the start of free agency.
At least one team, the New York Jets, has inquired about trading for Rodgers, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
According to Berman, the 300-square-foot room in which Rodgers spent his time is a partially underground structure devoid of light, with a queen bed, a bathroom and a meditation-like mat. It is fully powered, and the lights can be turned on from inside the room.
This guy has gotten to be a real nut case.
Pooping in the dark can not be enlightening
Is he still dating Blu of Earth? It’s her group that’s into darkness retreats.
Creepy.
That’s a step down from Danica Patrick.
Goes through the ladies?
How about go on a fishing trip and find yourself. Geez
Yeah, but did he see his shadow?
Rogers is a really smart guy. I can understand going dark for a few days. Or sitting in a treehouse, or anything else that keeps distractions away while making decisions that will change your life. Other people’s opinions would really not be helpful.
Just don’t choose a Florida pond with a gator in it unless REALLY well prepared...
Looks serene, not sure about being in the dark.
Every time I’m expecting a $59 million payday, I go into seclusion too.
It is fully powered, and the lights can be turned on from inside the room.

It’s devoid of light, but has light.
See my 17. Just turn the light on.
I see, that cheating ain’t it?
It has nothing to do with religion. My daughters friend did it and held onto a specific scripture through the ordeal.
You have to be strong mentally and emotionally to endure. You have to deal with your bs. You can’t avoid it, like we do common do, turning to our phones, gadgets, TV, alcohol, smoking et al. She said it forced her to really hear the still small voice referred to in the bible.
The world would be a better place if folks focused on their own bs instead of everybody else’s.
You can’t get there reading for five minutes.
It would not be my choice, sitting in darkness, but don’t knock something because you don’t understand it.
