Vice resident Kamala Harris claimed Wednesday that the Biden administration has worked to provide Americans with lower gas and electricity bills despite higher-than-normal energy prices putting a financial crunch on many families.
"For working families, we have reduced heating and electricity bills so folks have more money in their pockets to buy things like schools supplies, replace the dishwasher or take a family vacation," she said during a speech on efforts to lower costs for homebuyers at Bowie State University in Maryland.
In response to Harris' remarks, the Republican National Committee stated that electricity and gas costs are up.
"What is she talking about? Electricity is up 11.9%, fuel oil is up 27.7%, and natural gas is up 26.7% over last year," an RNC tweet read.
In January, President Biden touted a decline in fuel prices after months of record-high prices at the pump. However, he was criticized by Republicans who said families have had to deal with an increase in energy costs since he took office.
"Gas prices are up $1.03 a gallon from when Joe Biden took office. Biden's administration continues to undermine American energy," RNC rapid response director Tommy Pigott tweeted at the time. "Families have lost $2,250 paying higher energy costs since he took office."
In December, California Gov. Gavin Newsom called a special legislative session to tax California’s oil refiners while blaming them for the state's high energy prices.
During her speech, Harris announced the lowering of mortgage insurance payments for all new FHA (Federal Housing Administration) homeowners by nearly 40% beginning March 20.

I said WTF, my utility bills have gone up not gone down. So I looked at my electric and gas heating bill over the last year. Here is what a paid per kWh for electricity.
Jan 22: 14 cents/kWh
Jan 23: 17.8 cents /kWh

Here is what a paid per CCF for natural gas heat
Jan 22: $1.33/CCF
Jan 23: $1.73/CCF

I don’t blame her for lying, just like I don’t blame any politician for lying. I blame the media, the oversight of government for the citizens who instead of doing their jobs, run interference for the party. This is why they are included in the first amendment.
If they cannot do their jobs, they shouldn’t be afforded 1st amendment protections. It really is that simple.

Here in Ca my electric bill went up from $55.00 to $260.00 in one month with the same usage.
Gas is up 5 times higher then it was last year.
Gasoline is up to $4.78.
My electricity has doubled in the last year and a half.

Go to https://nextdoor.com to read about the huge increases in California as an example from low 100’s to several hundred more the next month.
Examples:
A) 2 more replies to “I thought last month’s gas bill at $796 was outrageous compared to $170 the year before .”
B) We hardly ever turn our heat on, and ours was $680. 2 people, maybe turn it on in the morning for 1/2 hour… my DWP was 2,000. I don’t know how people make it in this state…
I can conclude that Kamala either is a total idiot and does not know that energy costs for consumers have skyrocketed or that she is deliberately lying through her teeth and assumes people are too stupid to notice the lie.
