Special education teacher, Alicia Messing, testified before the Arizona Senate Education Committee in opposition to Arizona bill SB1700. The bill would give parents greater insight into materials used by their schools and a procedure for objecting to material they find objectionable, especially those that are found to be ‘lewd or sexual in nature, that promote gender fluidity or gender pronouns or that groom children into normalizing pedophilia’.
Messing seemed quite confident that her master’s degree qualified her to make these decisions for parents.
She went even further to explain her philosophy with the following quote:
‘The purpose of public education is not to teach only what parents want their children to be taught. It is to teach them what society needs them to be taught.’
‘What do the parents have?’ Messing asked, after touting her master’s degree.

“We pay your salary.”
IMO, a lot of the “squishy” degrees are held by the “manchild” or “womanchild” types who are afraid to leave school, grow up, and get a real job in the real world. They become teachers so they can stay in the comfortable confines of school, and lord it over students.
Children belong to their parents and to God alone.
Parents are responsible to maintain their children’s safety and well being. And are fully responsible to decide which education their children will receive.
Teachers are employees.
“ ‘What do the parents have?’ Messing asked”
Children?
And “parents” are the protectors of those children.
Perverts who want to sexually take advantage of them are perverts.
Doesn’t matter if they have a masters, Phd, BS, or no degree.
A master’s in education? Those are laughable. I’m serious.
That’s the way it goes many times. My boss is retiring and it’s open for interviews now. Had a few people tell me to apply, but I cannot. The position requires an electrical engineering degree (even though there is no engineering involved in the position). Smarts and common sense over a 1-1/2 decades doesn’t matter, sadly. Let me tell you, most electrical engineers I’ve met aren’t the best suited to manage people, at all.
Home schooling and coop schooling appear to be the best alternatives for parents in our era.
Vote only for those who will support school vouchers.
