Alrighty then.
I wonder if nutrients affect that.
Now that we are empty nesters, I only do some of those things. I used to do all of those things. I have delegated the finances to my husband to relieve myself of a few duties. I have dubbed myself the CPO (Chief Procurement Officer) of our happy little family, and I hate spending money unless it’s necessary. Gotta run a tight ship. One of these days TSGHTF, and I want to be prepared when it does. Joe Burden and Congress make that possibility closer each and every day.
We are very happy, though, because we cherish what we each bring to the marriage. Lots of give and take. Of course, the Lord is the backbone of our marriage. We would be nowhere without Him.
Very true. If you want to know what your girlfriend will be like in a few years, look at her mother.
Now I’ve never heard of that…it’s like a personal version of the Earth shifting on its axis!
I hope she delegates some things to me after I retire. Can’t think of anything she would let be do though. Most likely house work. I don’t mind cleaning at all. 20 years in the military made me a pro!!
I know this is not true. If I had a dime for every time I have heard the guys mutter "lefty loosy, righty tighty" I would be able to buy a very fancy cup of coffee. Maybe two of them.
Ahh, we do share the cooking and cleaning now, too. He runs the grills; I do most all the other cooking and baking. He isn’t retired yet, but I consider myself retired. When we moved to this house (almost ten years ago now), I never looked for a job in the new location. I just take care of this house, this property, and him. That’s why I have the CPO title, among other things.
My sweetheart does do his own laundry, which is really nice. When our kids were in HS, I taught them to do their own laundry, because I wanted them to be functional adults. They all had learned to cook at least some by then. Cleaning? Well, they each have their strengths and weaknesses there. We are clean but not OCD…which afflicts some of my family members, so I have tried not to get lost in the details. I have learned to embrace “good enough” and not “perfection”.
Not surprising, this 32 year old doesn’t know his left from his right.
See if this helps. When we are in the car and my wife tells me, “Turn right” when I’m not expecting it, probably half the time I turn left. It’s better for her to say, “Turn my way” to go right and “Turn your way” to go left.
If you are confused about that, then you are on the road to understanding how it is to be left-handed in a right hand world. :-)
I dunno.
Do you buy all your shoes online, despite that they wind up costing as much or more than the ones in the store - just because you don’t want to go back to the store?
Uh-oh, I do. Not only because I don’t want to go to the store but once I find a pair I like, I keep buying them until they don’t make them anymore 😂
Bears repeating, FRiend!
I have such a hard time with shoes, when I find something that really works I buy two. I’ve regretted it when I didn’t; things are discontinued so much faster these days.
That they do. I find very few styles that are comfortable. I will try that, purchasing two at a time. Thank-you.
Well, two pairs - not two shoes :-)
I’ve been wearing flannel, jeans & sneakers for decades. The other day just wore a t-shirt from the year 2000 on it, when I got it for free at the beer distributor.
