Whenever I make a beef pot roast, I always save some of the au jus to make things like poutine. (As the base for the gravy)

Hubby makes fries in our air fryer to put in it, and a nice sharp cheddar is added to it right before serving.

Really, it is spectacular. It is made to order so to speak, as it is made for two servings, and not left in a steam table for the gravy to separate. I am sorry you had such a bad experience from it, as it gives poutine a bad name when things like that happen.

Well that DOES sound much better than what I had. Yummy, quality gravy that hasn’t been sitting on french fries, making them a soggy pile of slop. Better quality cheese as well. Ok. I’ll try it again at the next rally. We can have Jeeves whip us up some in the dining car.

I didn’t know you are Armenian. I met an elderly Armenian, he told me his story of the Muslims killing his family and he escaping to Russia. It was sad beyond words.

Granddad escaped to Germany. Then, when WWI broke out, the Germans and Turkey became allies. So, he then went to Switzerland where he met my Grandmother. They both emigrated to the US in 1923. We thought the rest of the family had been wiped out until about 1994 leaving only us: 8 people. At that time, my brother did an internet search and found other Jemians, or more correctly Djemjemians, on the left coast.
