Whenever I make a beef pot roast, I always save some of the au jus to make things like poutine. (As the base for the gravy)

Hubby makes fries in our air fryer to put in it, and a nice sharp cheddar is added to it right before serving.

Really, it is spectacular. It is made to order so to speak, as it is made for two servings, and not left in a steam table for the gravy to separate. I am sorry you had such a bad experience from it, as it gives poutine a bad name when things like that happen.

Well that DOES sound much better than what I had. Yummy, quality gravy that hasn’t been sitting on french fries, making them a soggy pile of slop. Better quality cheese as well. Ok. I’ll try it again at the next rally. We can have Jeeves whip us up some in the dining car.

I’m sure you enjoy it, but when I come visit I’d appreciate some Cajen or seafood.

I don’t care for chile cheese fries either, nothing geographically personal. I don’t really eat fries much in any event.
