When it comes to fertility, the focus tends to fall on women and their (loudly ticking) biological clocks. Yet it’s not just women who have to take age into account when considering when to have children. Experts agree that men's fertility also depends on their age.
According to Dr. Jane L. Frederick, a reproductive endocrinologist, women get most of the attention because they have a finite number of eggs at birth and must contend with changes in egg quantity and quality starting at age 35.
“Women play an obvious role in reproduction, leading us to believe that the topics of fertility, pregnancy and childbirth are women’s issues, void of male involvement after they provided sperm,” she explains. “However, older men over the age of 45 are much more likely to have children than four decades ago, and yet few men recognize their biological clock is ticking as well.”

Its kind of a moot point.
There aren’t too many 50+ men or women jumping at the chance to become elderly parents.
Its really more of a lets try to make men believe they have a biological clock like women attempt. Big fail on that one.
Granted.
And if you are planning to actually raise them then having kids when you are older is it's own special challenge.
Kids are bundles of energy.
You notice that most guys (and a few gals) that do it are generally rich. They hire nannies to look after them. Which is kind of sad for the kids.
I turned 77 recently and I have never known a man who worried about his biological clock. This is women’s talk.
"Prostrate" glands - that's a good one! As in "lying prostrate" or "prostrating oneself."
And some people claim that puns are the lowest form of humor!

John Tyler, 10th U.S. President, still has a living grandson!
Julio Iglesias Sr age 90...
LOL! Yes, some older men do have a decrease in fertility. Yet, most men are still working with live ammo until the day they die. I can show numerous examples of men in their 70s and 80s fathering children.
Sorry Leftists, biology does not agree with your ideology yet again.
I looked up James Doohan (Scotty)
In early 1974, he was introduced to 17-year-old fan Wende Braunberger at a theatre performance. They were married that same year, when they were 54 and 18, on October 12, 1974. Star Trek guest actor William Campbell served as best man.[30] Doohan and Braunberger had three children: Eric, Thomas, and lastly, Sarah in April 2000, around his 80th birthday.
“Kids are bundles of energy”
Yes, we notice that when we babysit our grandkids.
We all have a “biological clock” but just not in the way the sex obsessed left thinks.
At 60, I don’t heal as fast, need fewer calories per day, tend to have more joint related issues, to name a few.
It’s the life script that has been brainwashed into us for generations.
I managed to break free of the life script brainwashing of 2.5 kids by the time you're 35. I have no interest in having a family.
Also Wasted Years
Nah, I like having time for my hobbies. I have an extreme dislike for kids too. Plus family law is arrayed against men everywhere you go.
Another gynocracy lie. You have men in the 70s fathering children. This is just more feminist nonsense trying to lie to women again and make them rationalize their childless, lonely, SSRI ridden, boxes wine life with cats.
