PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood is known as an open air drug market.

"It is the biggest open air drug market on the East Coast. You literally can just walk up on a block and cop whatever substance you like," said James Sherman a former user who is now focused on street outreach with the nonprofit Savage Sisters Recovery.

Now, the area in North Philadelphia is at the center of the Tranq epidemic, hit hard by the emerging misuse of the animal tranquilizer Xylazine. The drug is leaving hundreds of users in Philadelphia with gruesome wounds that could lead to amputations....

...It is not just a Philadelphia problem. The DEA warns that the drug is leading to a major spike in overdose deaths across the nation. Officials say Tranq was first found in the drug supply in Puerto Rico and is mixed in with fentanyl to extend the high.

Tranq does not respond to overdose reversal drugs like Narcan...

Drugs are like the demons in the plants they come from. Do not respect them, make a war on them, and watch what happens: addiction to them as a punishment.

How can one say it, they promote their own reality evading schizophrenia when they are no longer employed socially amongst Indians who had no problem with these plants. This is because we have ended the importance of taboos as a means of definition of the group. The plants and drugs were taboo because they were dangerous used for yourself but NOT in Themselves as they could be used only as a group and together once in a blue moon.

The war on drugs is the same side of the coin of addiction in terms of disrespect of the plants. Recreational users are as much the bane as worshippers of its nothingness, as are authorities thinking laws and guns can physically stop them as if a nothingneas could be stopped.

I do Bible study every week and attend church.
But we have a family rule not to discuss religion in public.
This is public. Family and church is private.
Everybody is a sinner, far be it for me to point fingers.
In Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

Evil doesn’t care what destruction it doth wrath. It neither knows, nor cares, about humanity.

Marijuana is legal in some States and taxed!

Tobacco is addictive, so are liquor, wine and beer, but the Government gets $trillions in taxes - so it’s use is encouraged.

Drunk driving fines are money makers too!!!!

Losers may not be needed by society, but that does not mean it is good when someone becomes a loser and parishes pathetic and alone.

A lot of this can be traced back to the government. They started forcing doctors to prescribe pain medicine or they could be sued by patients. At the same time they approved oxycontin claiming it was less addictive because it supposedly lasted 12 hours instead of 4. So millions of people got hooked on oxy before the government did a complete reversal and started going after doctors for over prescribing pain meds. Now doctors are afraid to prescribe pain meds and millions of people are cut off over the years. At the same time this is happening the government leaves our border open to be flooded with cheap heroin and fentynil. They went after Purdue for billions of dollars. Purdue's partners in government received no punishment.

Am I supposed to feel bad for these people?
If you shoot an unknown substance into your veins, and your skin starts to rot, and you do it again.....
Narcan should be reserved for the truly accidental overdose, all the rest, well, it would appear that the problem will self correct

It’s a horse/large animal tranquilizer.. Also used in zoos.

Not on puppies or kitties.

If only the people we elected cared about those they represent and would clean up such a deadly, non controlled product that kills people. 🧐 You know those smart Romans had the perfect phase to characterize such a situation... Cui bono?

Kind of like the ‘krockodile’ epidemic in Russia a few years back. That was nasty stuff.

What’s the big deal? Couldn’t be any worse than that super duper dangerous horse paste, Ivermectin.

“There is an increasing problem with serious clinical level paranoia”.

Schizophrenia has been known in Marijuana use for 55 years. (And miscarriages in women).

“it’s not possible to be physiologically addicted to pot.”

That’s arguable, but users seek stronger highs, which they’ll find on the street.
