Fauci has little to do with this, actually, unless you don't believe Trump when he says he constantly overruled him, especially on how much testing should be done on the vaccines. Trump admits he ordered millions of vaccines be purchased (at hundreds of dollars each) before even the first test was done on them. That wasn't Fauci, but I don't think you've been able to accept that fact yet. I understand though, it took me a while too when I first started learning this, and was a big Trump supporter myself.

Obviously not. Not when it appears they were only doing the contract work our government had ordered. Gain of function work that Trump won't admit to or discuss. He could have stopped it after the lab leak, but didn't. All it would have took was an executive order. But the only EO's he issued after the lab leak were about implementing the shutdown and suspending people's rent, suspending college loans, and the like.

Well that's on Trump for leaving him in place, including the gain of function programs. Trump essentially pardoned Fauci, and kept him on as our highest paid government worker, and made sure we kept working hard on the gain of function needed for covid-24, or whatever it will be, in their secret labs. But you can keep on screaming your support for him, if that makes you feel better. Out.
At the time, firing Fauci would have been political suicide.

They don’t agree with his vaccine stance, his LGBTQ support, His Pro-choice/life position, His support and EO’s on 5G, BioAg, Ai, Fintech, being a WEF man and a plethora of others. At least 3 of those would have been, pre-Trump, reasons to sit at home. I remember those days here.
I’d appreciate somebody explaining this to me. Aside from their belief he has to be President to save the world and rid of us of all manners of evil, I’m at a loss.

If always been skeptical of the “Trump’s Germ Phobia” story. Is it real or just that Trump likes to be clean, somewhat fastidious? When you say “phobia” as a minimum, I think Felix Unger to a maximum level ranging up to wanting to be a “bubble boy”. Phobia means irrational fear. That’s hard for me to imagine for Trump. Do you know of any reasonably valid public examples of him behaving that way? Or statements from someone with credibility?
He has claimed himself as a germaphobe, but also stated he doesn’t like to shake hands, thinks it’s barbaric but does it anyway. He’s primarily bothered by coughing and sneezing. That’s not a true phobia.

I think he “trusted the experts” and trusted his personal ability to manage people and projects. Unfortunately, this “project” was way outside his experience base & expertise. I think he was a like a lot of older people, it was just scary! Think about this, starting a year or two prior to COVID prior there were a lot of ScFi TV and films (the stupid zombie shows & films!). Whether deliberate or not they helped prepare the fear groundwork. I think it affected a lot of people’s subconscious. I think he and others were stampeded into thinking it was the second coming of the Black Plague. It wasn’t! To me it never looked like it was that! Not even close! Biological-based development is not the same as a construction project. Throwing more money at it and compressing the time-line drives the risk up and produces a potentially dangerous product. Since this was not in his normal wheelhouse, he should have been more skeptical. Why oh why did he let the serial exaggerator Fauci (In the 1980s we’re all going to catch AIDS!) have center stage? A 15-minute Internet search should have told them all they needed to know about him. He should have been fired back in the 1980s. I know given the hysteria it was “damned-if-he-did-and-damned-if-didn’t”, election run up made it worse.
Like it or not it’s going to be hung around his neck.

The right to try act had nothing to do with the vax. If it did we would have been allowed to use ivermectin and hydroxocloroquine. But these were banned. Why didn’t he do anything about that. He still supports the killer vax and to me that is not going to win my vote any more than a candidate who supports abortion.

I agree that there was a lot of subconscious manipulation through fear with COVID. There still is.
