Tik tok has a lot of pro-Trump videos on it. I suspect that’s the real reason they are against it.
Truth be told you shouldn’t be putting ANY app on your employer owned devices. 90% of the apps have some level of spyware, and it ain’t your device. Heck that’s in our annual security training at work, don’t install anything corporate didn’t tell you to on equipment corporate issued you. Of course we’re a software company so we all ignore that junk because we all have our favorite dev tools and we’re not dumb enough to install emoji toolbars on our browser. But normal employers lock that stuff down. And should, cause normal people always install spyware.
It should be all 57…
Economic warfare is being waged against China it’s official policy and lying and censorship are allowed.
President Trump denounced “domestic censorship” on the internet regarding the Deep State efforts against him in 2020 and 2022 in conjunction with social media companies and the mainstream media.
But Mr. Trump who opposes Communist China avoided condemnation of such activities for international purposes.
He knows what’s going on.
This is official Deep State policy discredit China and Chinese business entities like TikTok.
The communists are going to steal all our best dance moves!
“ByteDance and the Chinese Communist Party and warnings from U.S. intelligence that it poses threats to national security and individual privacy.”

Sounds to me like the US security establishment just doesn’t like TikTok because they can’t censor it the way they did Twitter, Facebook, ect. I don’t mind gov agencies forbidding it on their phones though, because those people should be working and not posting to social media while on the job anyway.
Actually it is not ridiculous. A state issued phone is a tool and has such the owner of said tool can and should control what is on those phones. And a lot of state employees have no clue what a virus is, how it can be embedded in a seemingly innocent file. Do yo have any idea how difficult it is to support a massive user base would be if you allowed anything to be loaded on their systems/phones?? There would be more viruses and such floating round than could be fixed. That is why there is always a standard to minimize such stuff.
I used to work IT for major corps and then some states. So I know exactly what it takes to support those systems and the really bad crap that can happen if you let it be the wild west so to speak...:)
A timewaster that government employees should not be using at work. As it might be playing Tetris or watching pr0n.
In a way the cows have already exited the barn and so whatever they’re going to do about this is not going to save the day as far as national security is concerned.
In another way, I think people take stuff like this too lightly (showing, at least to my eye, that they’re already hooked on it). You don’t want the Chinese to buy property in your state, right? (Or I HOPE you don’t!)
Why let them into your home, then? Why let them be able to view all your little romantic fancies and silly life moments? I would no more want my employees to use company phones for tiktok than I would want for them to take company vehicles on a jaunt into Mexico.
I went on to Tik Tok because it was in the news. It just seems to be kids lip syncing to awful music and dancing around. I think I’m too old for it. It probably is a Chinese spyware app but also Feds are probably mad it the only popular social media app that they can’t control
First of all, why is the app allowed on a government issued phone?
Second, ALL of this was known to the previous administration, which banned the site. The ban being completely reversed by the current administration and now being implemented again.
Third, more proof that, regardless of how he talked or tweeted, the previous President was far, far, far, far ahead of the power curve and now, since we have something to compare it to, we see just how effective he was.
But.......NAH.....no mean tweets or straight talk. We need to hear BS and read bedtime stories.
Trump was right years ago.
Glad the rest could finally catch up
Yoh, you forgot Kansas, since last week.
