I have the family grain mill, with the hand crank option, just in case. I’ve used it for 14 years now, no problems. I bought extra burrs but haven’t needed them yet.

The only issue is it is slow. I have to grind twice to get down to a somewhat fine flour.

It’s funny, I starred out buying cheaper prepping appliances cuz I wasn’t sure uud use them. The grain mill and scanner, specifically. I use them all The time, but still haven’t replaced them.

I’d get the Country Living Grain Mill and an All American canner if id do it again. Maybe i should anyway, before inflation steals my $$.

Thanks. Just wanting to grind wheat, oats, barley, etc….mostly wheat….for bread.

I’m thinking about the NutriMill Harvest stone mill (it’s electric)….for ease/size.

I love homemade bread.....unfortunately I did not inherit my mothers great cooking and baking ability. Plus I'm clumsy in the kitchen.... Soooo the closest I get is buying prepared bread dough to bake -I can at least get the wonderful fresh baked bread aroma wafting thru my home and it's taste very good.

I can't imagine grinding let alone kneading etc. like my mom did! I give you lots of credit for the effort to take on grinding etc.
