McDonald's has opened up a fully-automated restaurant in Texas, which is completely run by machines so you don't have to speak to anyone, and it has left people on the internet divided.
The brand-new eatery, located just outside Fort Worth, uses advanced technology so that customers can order their food and receive their meal without having to interact with any humans, and while some people are excited about the idea, others find it a little creepy.
A TikToker who goes by the username @foodiemunster online recently visited the restaurant and documented the entire thing on the video-sharing app, and it launched a major debate among viewers.
The video featured a McDonald's with no employees behind the counter. Near the entrance, stood large touch screens for people to place their orders on.
'If you go inside, you’ll see that it’s like no other McDonald’s you’ve been to before. There’s one kiosk to order your food,' the TikToker explained.

While your food will be cooked by real people, you won’t have to interact with them at all because they’ll be tucked away in the kitchen.
No. It’s not a good idea
Part of the McDonald’s experience IS the attitude.
So first Kiosk button is what level of attitude do you want?
1) kind and compliant
2) polite and focused
3) a little snippy and cute
4) Max in your face
And a target on the screen for you to shoot.
I think not eating at McDonalds is a good idea.
Can’t wait to see what happens when the machines don’t get the order correct to the whims of a sista.
“do you know how easy it will be to steal from the window now?”
Automated means labor savings which means McDonald’s will soon be dropping their prices. I’d guess a Big Mac will go for a buck.
We went to McD’s for the first time in literally decades last night.
Ordered Big Mac Combos. Cost $17, was shocked at the price. Last time we ate at McD’s it was $10.
Got home, mile and a half, and the fries were cold, so heated them in the microwave.
The ‘BIG’ Mac was way smaller than I remembered............
Not open yet, putting finishing touches on it. Looks funny from the outside. Little cube shaped building.
“Carl’s Jr **** you, we mean it...”
The way “people” act anymore the employees need to be protected by prison bars with no way for the crazies to get in.
I always imagine how appalled our dead relatives would be at how some people choose to behave. Their spinning graves would cause an earthquake.
I knew it. It is NOT completely run without humans...
“Humans prepare the food in the kitchen, but don’t interact with customers”
“...ahuscspit...”
Oh ... disappointing ... I thought it said it would be fully automated.
Still will never go in one

For those employees potential or existing who are lobbying for a “living wage”, I think it is completely great and justifiable.
For those employees, potential or existing who recognize that a McDonalds job is a gateway to teach working skills, not a lifetime job, and they want to get their foot in the door so they can earn money while going to school, I think it sucks and should be rejected.
This tech has been in the Atlanta metro area for years and years. You can get extremely detailed in your order customization. Wasn’t the only option but I found it quicker than waiting on a human. Like the stores with endless self checkout, someone has to maintain the tech and this stuff isn’t reliable 24/7/365. It just isn’t.
Hahahahahaha I absolutely love that movie!
The ghettopattami will just smash the expensive screens when they get angry.
