Hi CATS!
WOW! THAT IS COLD for your area!
We’re doing good. But I did have a battle with some groceries. I won, but looking at me, you might not think so.
We went to get groceries late in the afternoon on Christmas Eve Eve. Not sure the temp, but COLD, especially with wind chill factor!
I was toting some sacks of groceries to the back door. I lost my footing somehow. Not really sure how. Darlin had cleared the snow and ice off the steps. Could have tripped, was off balance from carrying too much...or just natively clumsy....or all of the above. I did a face plant into said groceries.
I felt ok, and after a few seconds after checking out system, I got up, we put away the groceries. We then noticed I was bleeding from my right cheek.
Cleaned the wound, applied pressure and ice, then turned around to go back to town to the ER. Long wait. Tetanus shot, cause we’re not sure what got me. Arrived at ER well after sundown on 23rd. Got home after 1:00 am on 24th!
I’m fine, and I’m amazed I don’t hurt....but I look like I was in a sword fight! Been quiet yesterday and today.
I managed not to break the eggs.
I also have an impressive bruise on my tummy where one of the steps got me. It could have been so much worse. Back and neck were not affected, so PTL!
God's blessings upon you; may the Lord look upon you with favor and give you peace. Now you have a unique experience, a Christmas to remember, a combination of the joy and the suffering by you and by our Savior : some comfort for you now, a merit badge to wear through other trials and joys.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Youโre lucky. Continue to monitor your condition as injuries to your head may take longer to manifest

Ouch! I hope you are feeling better this morning. I don’t know how old you are but falling after 50 is 10X worse than falling when you are 20. Take care and watch the bruise on your tummy. There are a lot of important parts in there.
Prayers up for a speedy recovery!
Oh no, sorry you took a fall. Sounds like you’re in good spirits though.

Prayers for a swift recovery. That sounds like it was quite the tumble! Glad you are up and around and didn’t break anything.
