Saw this a few days ago, but strangely there is no mention of the deadly bihydrogen monoxide content

"All of the samples that we tested had detectable levels of either cadmium or lead"
I thought that's why they called it Cadbury chocolate.

My tree light box says to wash your hand safter handling as wires contain lead. Made In China...like I had to say it...

“All of the samples that we tested had detectable levels of either cadmium or lead,” said James Rogers of Consumer Reports. "Detectable Levels" have become so small, they are nearly meaningless for health concerns. The dose makes the poison.
It has been there all along
Exactly.

soil quality issues secondary to pollution. this is a big issue in foods from china/india, but apparently is an issue with parts of africa.
To: Red Badger
The study shared that cadmium found in soil, can infiltrate coco plants and lead contamination could happen in processing chocolate It's probably part of some Chinese additive...

“Detectable levels”
That’s the key phrase right there. The ability to frighten the hordes knows no bounds, coupled with heavy advertising.
Maybe this is dangerous, but ... I doubt it.
Some years back on a music/audio/equipment forum a poster asked how to clean his 33 RPM vinyl records without getting excessive Lead inhalation exposure. He was concerned, it was eventually revealed, by the “California Warning” on a 1oz. bottle of DiscWasher cleaning solution. It is nothing exotic, merely distilled water with a detergent in it.
There might be a few molecules of anything in everything, this “detectable levels” BS is therefore is madness. It can (and will) be used like a knife.

28 samples, but no mention of brand names?
Makes me instantly skeptical when researchers and journalists are afraid they will get sued.

As we cover excellent farm land with solar panels that contain heavy metals including Cadmium and Lead.
What could possibly go wrong!
