Very good points about how the Senate made it very difficult, if not impossible, for Trump to bring in the people he truly wanted.

Trump took a lot of criticism from our side for many of his lousy picks for Cabinet positions, etc., but at some point he had to fill those positions and so he was forced to put forth people that would get senate confirmation.

Trump did not have a reputation for hiring mediocre people in his private businesses. In fact, quite the opposite, which is what made his presidency so appealing to many of us.

We all figured Trump would get the right people into his Administration that would clean house and get things going in the right direction for our country. But Congress worked overtime to ensure that Trump's hands were kept tied for his entire Administration.

We should also recall that it took months to get even Trump's initial picks confirmed. Nothing like that ever happened before to a newly elected Presdient.

I had baseball cards from the ‘60s I had them all I had Mantle, Don Drysdale, I had Kofax I had them all... and they were in those dark purple banana bags with the yellow handles that bananas used to come in - I had about six of those bags full. And we moved... and they never made it and neither did my barrel of baseball equipment and Tonka trucks and all that stuff disappeared.

Never saw that barrel again... my childhood ended when I was 10.

That Christmas I got weights, jump rope, a chess set, and a craftsman rock hammer, and boxing gloves. So for the most part I wasn’t a kid anymore.

Those cards were something and they were all in good shape.
