The media’s silence on the ‘Twitter Files’ is shameful
NY Post ^ | 12/11/22 | Miranda Devine

Whatever happened to “All the news that’s fit to print,” and “Democracy dies in darkness,” the respective mottos of the two most influential newspapers in the country, The New York Times and The Washington Post?

Every morning, these august organs set the narrative for newsrooms across the country, and yet, time and again, we see them ignore stories that don’t suit their own agenda as propaganda purveyors for the Democratic Party and the security state.

This has been obvious in their non-coverage of Elon Musk’s Twitter Files, four batches over 10 days so far, which have revealed a chilling censorship regime at the social media giant, which no doubt is replicated across Big Tech, including at Facebook and Google.

We see evidence of what we long suspected, despite Twitter former CEO Jack Dorsey’s lies to Congress: Conservatives and medical professionals were silenced, as part of a crackdown on effective dissent against the government. From The Post’s Hunter Biden laptop stories and criticism of the Biden administration’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal to Dr. Fauci’s bogus edicts on masks, lockdowns and the origins of COVID, censorship has been the order of the day. That should be a story of interest to journalists at The Times and WaPo.

Threat to democracy

If anything is an existential threat to democracy, it is Big Tech’s assault on free speech, in service to one side of politics and under the instruction of intelligence operatives determined to rig elections against recalcitrant Republicans. In fact, the lead agency tasked with election security, the FBI, is revealed as a prime culprit.

You're an idiot.

I'm not a fan of Taibbi. And I post anti-communist comments and articles here every frikken day.

Only a very stupid person could not see that Musk is using Taibbi because of his prior position at Rolling Stone. Musk is using Taibbi as a tool to spread fear, confusion, and the truth among communists.

Sheesh.

Whatever happened to “All the news that’s fit to print,” and “Democracy dies in darkness,”

It depends on what the meaning of the word “fit” or “democracy” is.

“Musk made a strange choice of giving the first installment to Matt Taibi,”

Taibi is a leftist, so the RAT retards would be more likely to pay attention to him. If Musk had given the info to Steve Bannon, how would that get the attention of the low-IQ people?

BTW, I started the Trump for President threads back in 2015 the day he came down the escalator in Trump Tower (long before the primaries). I caught all kinds of shit for supporting Trump over "true" conservatives like Ted Cruz. I was threatened with eviction here at FR more times than I could count for supporting Trump.

I published 100s of news threads weekly and maintained the largest Trump for President ping list at FR.

Don't give me that crap about not supporting Trump.

I make a difference here. Taibbi is a straight-out communist. He is the very looniest edge of the left. When it comes to how far left you can go he is the 1%.

What about the rest of the 49%?

Shameful? They’re criminal collaborators on suppressing the Biden laptop story.

Paying writers not to write. Must get expensive.

Well, since they're all mockingbirds, they're all getting government checks anyway.

With all the evidence don’t be surprised to see the feckless cowards in the Republican Party f things up.
They can’t even come up with a strong Speaker in the House with all the evidence they have

Shameful, yes. But also entirely expected, and thoroughly demonstrative of the fact that they, along with Meta/Farcebook and Google, are part of the corruption and Orwellian Newspeak which has been rotting American freedom and discourse for decades.

Agreed. Matt Taibi is communist who has written far left stuff. However he did move over to substack to write stories the MSM would not publish. Also Taibi cannot be dismissed as a right winger which would cancel his work. So far the twitter files confirm that twitter was a deep state tool so that’s a good thing. On the other hand, it is alarming to know that the security state conspires to install CCP like totalitarian rule.

... it would force the real election deniers to admit that Trump was right about election fraud and rigging. Then that evolves into discussing the legitimacy of Joke Xiden, and whether feral givernment actors committed election interference crimes. Then that further evolves into the potential prosecution of the inside givernment actors. None of that will happen, even if it were to reach the desk of snake Garland.

‘Whatever happened to “All the news that’s fit to print,” and “Democracy dies in darkness,” ‘

What does darkness do to a totalarian dictatorship? I believe that would be a more relevant question.

Only Faux News covers it ... then omits the huge child porn segment, bolstering the ‘child exposure to porn’ proponent Yule Roth as a hero in the political revelations.

They’re not news media. They’re propaganda. They exist to make Democrats feel that they’re mainstream. The media’s scam is that they’re normal.

The left doesn’t feel shame.

The “Media” is a generalized misnomer continually used to mislead from their true mission of groupthink mindguard and leftist regime propaganda.

Again, we see writers attempting to show the world their the smartest people in the room, when the opposite is true.

I apologize for calling you an "idiot." I know that isn't true.

I was having a bad morning (a disagreement with my house painter) and let that influence my comment to you.

Sorry about that.
