I’m good with more golf course scenes too. It could be Niakwa. I did both the course flyover and the hole-by-hole view and couldn’t quite find a hole that had the houses in the background, the bunkers positioned like that near water, and a water’s edge without the sand or gravel that appears in many photos in the Niakwa web site gallery. Golf course renovations are constant however, so photos change. It’s flat enough to be Winnipeg and I could actually get there to play it too.

I haven’t yet, but I could probably find it to watch. Isn’t that movie about a cocaine-snorting porn star? I worked with a woman who had a boyfriend who dabbled in cocaine and she would start some morning conversations with “another Boogie Night”. We came to understand that to mean that the boyfriend had done cocaine to the point where he couldn’t maintain an erection. I don’t remember how many times I had to tell her “5-1-1 Kim, 5-1-1”. [4-1-1 is information, 5-1-1 is too much information.]

I guess he doesn’t look back with any regrets. I have one of his songs (Good Vibrations) on my workout iPod (every song >140 beats per minute), so I’ve contributed to his wealth - only $1.29 Canadian, but every dollar helps.
It’s been a learning curve. Firm earthly expectations are melted.
My adolescent 60’s idea that Americans are heirs of their WW II fathers, and therefore destined forever to be solid political rebels, is quite dashed, mostly because none of us stayed eighteen, after all. That’s just my observation, of course, and I have no sense of humor about it, maybe that’s quite out of step. It seems to be, unfortunately.

There’s effort to even count maybe a handful of my generation in the Senate that are solidly “America First” in this time of peril. 😳 The House of Representatives of any political value to me were in a caucus, resigned to peeping their overall discontent, but swarmed by Democrats they were kept ineffectual.
Same with the Vatican Coup. Though growing only a bit, it’s been embarrassing to count only a handful of US bishops whom I recognize as even Catholic. Most have been busy doing Nothing to defend Catholic identity, teaching, culture, canon law,
but busy doing even less for Traditional Roman Catholics, their people, from being crushed and banished by the anti-pope in the Vatican, Bergoglio.
Those institutional examples, and also most all consequential nations of the world seem institutionalized.
Together, they all intersect at Secular City, around an agenda-heading called, imo, Secular Hedonism, and of course, a sub-item of wringing out a collection of money and powers to advance the hedonism. 🙄
Presently, a secular autist and billionaire lights up the first meaningful salvo for Any Resistance. May it leave a mark.
