Actress Kirstie Alley has died at the age of 71, according to a statement from her family.
“We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered,” according to the statement published to her official social media channels Monday evening.
The only certainty…
turbo cancer.
Saw another post where she was the first main Cheers actor to pass away since Coach 30+ years ago which is pretty amazing.
I guess Norm is still kicking. I would have figure him for first gone.
RIP. Prayers up for Kirstie and her family.
Wow. A beauty back in the day and even still beautiful after she put on some lbs. RIP.
Saavik: “Permission to speak candidly, sir?”
Kirk: “Granted.”
Saavik: “I don’t believe this was a fair test of my command abilities.”
Kirk: “And why not?”
Saavik: “Because...there was no way to win.”
Kirk: “A no-win situation is a possibility ever commander may face. Had that not occurred to you?”
Saavik: “No, sir. It had not.”
Kirk: “How we deal with death is at least as important as how we deal with life, wouldn’t you say?”
Saavik: “As I indicated, Admiral, that thought had no occurred to me.”
Kirk: “Well, now you have something new to think about. Carry on.”
Since they said it was cancer just recently diagnosed, I’m assuming it is pancreatic cancer. Obesity, drinking, smoking are a few things not to do and she did them all. Such a shame because I really liked her.
Hmmm.
She was one of the few good ones in Hollyweird. She has traveled on to a better place now.
Me, too, Peggy. She was the whole package, talented, funny and gorgeous. Very sad that she lost the battle with cancer.
Probably took the chinese virus killer vaccine which accelerates cancer and other diseases as it greatly reduces your immune system.
Somehow I never watched that movie. Looks like a hoot!
So sad. I drive by her home in Wichita all the time. I’m sad that she died a Scientologist.
Those familiar with Wichita, I saw her at the Dillons grocery store at Central and Rock about 4 years ago, and at a Wichita State basketball game about a year later.
A full life, a good thing.
When I was a kid, I knew a woman who was born in the 1870’s. She was happy, almost 100 years old. She saw the first cars, airplanes, and then men on the moon. What a life.
My neice was literally named after her, since her dad’s family name was Alley. No relation, my sister just thought it was cute.
RIP, Kirstie...
