Who is qualified to determine what is “climate misinformation” or not? There is no central authority in science which makes final declarations. Science involves constant research, revision, improving and fine-tuning. When “science” becomes dogmatic, it is no longer science.
Government does not have that qualification. Social media CEOs don’t either.
The only sane course of action is to let everyone post their own opinions with censorship only for things that lead to someone getting hurt, like the crap that’s on Tiktok right now.

How does ‘the verge’ know what is or is not climate misinformation?

I’d bet not one of these pretend-to-be journalists could answer a question like, “What was the Younger Dryas?”. They know nothing except the propaganda they repeat like a catechism.
