Just a thought here as I think he was the last effective Speaker from the R party.

I like Newt Gingrich. However the probability of a non-House member being elected Speaker of the House is probably <1%.
Next question.
To: mononymous
He is a polished RINO....part of the problem. He is an established D.C. (was) figure that capitulated and did the bowing down to get things done ....politically spineless and all for show as the money and debt just rocketed ...

Newt is fine but someone younger like Lee Zeldin would be better.
Almost anyone but McCarthy. He is tainted goods. Very tainted. Like sh*t stained tainted.

Newt has some interesting insights, now and again. But enough with these professional, life-long politicians. I know there are worse choices than Newt. But there also have got to be better ones.

Who’s your choice, someone who could actually have the votes? BTW, I don’t necessarily disagree with you, but the cards have been dealt.
To: mononymous
No, he’s been wrong about everything lately.

“What About Newt Gingrich For Speaker?”
He’s too young. We need someone a bit older. Is Jimmy Carter still alive?
To: mononymous
Same old thing, over and over....Lets elect professional career politicians since people from the private sector are just too damn stupid to do the job the professional career politicians and life long bureaucrats do.

Wasn’t he treated with the John Boehner/Paul Ryan award?
To: mononymous
NO, I was wrong about that quote.
Someone else characterized him as saying that.
Apologies
I still disagree with his comments, as Biden only “succeeded” because Republicans partnered with him, giving him legislative victories.

Been calling for that for almost a year...
He was, relatively, the best speaker of the past 60 years, based on accomplishments...
While I always referred to him as the “Pillsbury Doughboy”, he was the only GOP speaker to fight for individual freedom & liberty...
The endless string of communists, closet-communist supporters, and professional surrender monkeys has got to be terminated...

Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

People still say “compromised” as if RINOs are genuine conservatives with skeletons in their closet(s) from the distant past, rather than left-wing ideologues.

Yes, and he also failed to get Bill Clinton removed from office. How was he “effective”? At elevating Kabuki Theater to a high level?
