When COVID-19 first hit, the risk of being infected was much higher than the personal costs of getting the vaccine. In 2022, these considerations are very different, says Duke-NUS Centre for Outbreak Preparedness’ Dr Khoo Yoong Khean.
The fourth COVID-19 jab has been made available for groups of people in Singapore since April, with the updated bivalent mRNA vaccine available to those aged 18 and above since Nov 7.
The bivalent mRNA vaccine targets the ancestral SARS-CoV-2 virus as well as the Omicron variants, such as BA.1, BA.4/5. Because of the immune evasion properties of the Omicron variants, this updated vaccine will have better protection against COVID-19. They remain well tolerated and the safety profile remains consistent with the previous version of the same vaccines, with mostly mild to moderate adverse effects.
With the increase in coverage against the new variants and a good safety profile, the decision to receive the fourth jab should be clear. But official vaccination statistics suggest that this isn’t so.

And these vaxx addicts can now be found posting on r/ covidvaccinated and r/ longhaulers ...complaining about their symptoms (many of which are, indeed, horrible) and then in the same post say that they’re going for another shot.
Basically say’s we know what we are doing but, we have a lot to learn.

Not getting these shots, I am 100% safe from the side effects of the shot, and over 99% safe from dying from covid.
My ivermectin and other items for immune health are satisfactory for me.

Covid injections are not vaccines. They are something else, gene therapy, GMO.
Influenza vaccines, flu shots, ARE traditional vaccines , even if marginally effective depending on the antigen strains included.

Same. When someone tries to tell me I’m an anti vaxxer, I remind them I got my shingles vax. The benefits definitely outweighs the risks on that one.

I don’t call anyone an anti vaxxer. Flu shots aren’t a vaccine, it’s a guess shot that might mitigate symptoms.

Yeah, this mRNA stuff bothers me. I just don’t want to be a Guinea pig, and I feel like I was coerced into getting the first two doses. If it hadn’t been for my newborn grandson (at the time), I probably wouldn’t have gotten those first two doses.
We are no longer in an emergency situation. We have treatments, and for most people, CoVid is a cold. I’d rather get CoVid another few times than get another injection.
I read an article, some time ago...essentially saying having had (previous) flus/colds, etc., is the best inoculation against future strains.
