It's archaic, obsolete, clunky, & wrong [not it that order].
Who and Whomever are objective case pronouns and follow the preposition “to”. Examples:
“To whoever you please.”
“To whomever you please.”
“To whom are you speaking?”
“To who was that addressed?”
Other than that just go with the flow.
Yep...knew that...but what i don’t know is when I’m supposed to / or not supposed to use whomsoever...which just rolls off the tongue and feels regal...
My new pronouns shall henceforth be: whoever and whomever.....whatever.
