In the years since, he gets a steam and sauna about once or twice a month to maintain his legs.
I’d really like to help.
But, I don’t think I’m logged in.
Pantsuits. Worked for Hillary. Sort of....
E.R. You should call for an ambulance and don’t drive yourself in case it is a sign of cardiac problems.
Contact a cardiologist immediately! Your heart is not pumping well!
If you are over 60 you know what that means.
A good doctor can help you live comfortably a few more years.
Life is not fair and it is not forever.
Consult a physician. This could possibly be a sign of a serious problem.
Compression socks and machine.
Calming thoughts/old movies
Leg elevation
Eat only protein….eggs, nuts, and cheese. Take Uber vitamins.
Get Chinese massage
We have this in the house now. Includes infection. No joke. It can be lethal
Prayers up
I had swollen legs and feet a few months back I could barely put my foot into my right shoe it was so bad, scared me to death came out of no where..went to Kaiser got blood work for kidney failure, heart failure, liver failure, all normal, also important to get an ultra sound to show if you have any blood clot, they do that right away, mine was normal, eventually it got better, no known cause, did lots of walking and it improved on its own I still have a little but not as bad as before and its important to ELEVATE your legs ABOVE your heart..take care and I hope you feel better soon God bless
My legs became swollen a year ago. By July of this year, I had trouble breathing. Pulse dropped into the 50s and oxygen in the 30s. Went to ER and found out I had congestive heart failure. Get to the Dr or ER asap.
Probably Lymphedema
Any discolorations or breaks in the skin are also signs.
If so, there is no cure. But the earlier you get diagnosed the less damage to you skin, legs and feet.
You likely get some physical therapy, then compression socks and a skin lotion to keep the skin from becoming brittle and dried out.
See a doctor. Now. Go to the ER if your primary care physician isn’t available.
Several things can cause serious swelling. Some are medical emergencies. You won’t know until a doc takes a look, and you probably have a date with a radiologist coming up. For starters.
The first symptom I had of a problem was swelling in one leg. I noticed this while showering before work one morning. Being a self taught medical genius, I immediately said, “That don’t look right.” I disregarded my usual practice of waiting three years to see if something will self resolve. I called my doc, who very politely told me to drop whatever I was doing and come in right now. In a more rural area he might have sent me straight to the ER, which was where I ended up anyhow after my doc called around to find a radiologist who could take me right away. The radiologist was two blocks from the hospital, which is where I spent the next four days. A blood clot was trying to kill me — a DVT with bilateral pulmonary embolism when I’m trying to impress my friends. Big clot. Mean one. One chance in three of killing me. I dodged that bullet.
That’s one extreme. At the other, you might have something that will respond to physical therapy, losing some weight, proper exercise and maybe some meds to flush excess water.
In between is a range of neat stuff like congestive heart failure, kidney failure, diabetic complications, lymphedema, and more, none with implications you want to live with.
Hopefully you are on the easily treatable end of the spectrum, but do not put off seeing a doc. Good luck.
Bfl 500 post thread...
See a doctor right away. Could be heart or kidney problems
Another thing to watch for in your legs is the opposite of swelling. My wife started losing muscle mass in her legs and butt about six months ago. Losing it fast too. She was eating well and exercising well yet the bottom half got far too skinny.
She should not have lost that muscle mass, didn’t make sense. She asked her doctor about it and she was not too concerned. A week ago she woke up in extreme pain in both legs. She said “let’s see if it goes away”. Later her toes and feet started to turn purple. And be the time we got her to the hospital they were starting to turn black.
Strange that it came on all of a sudden like that, but she had multiple occlusions in her Aorta and Femoral Arteries. She had to have an Aortofemoral bypass four days ago. It was touch and go if they could save her legs or not, actually if she was going to make it or not. Looks like all is going to be Ok and she is recovering.
So legs and butt getting too skinny for no real reason can also be indication of a serious problem.
go to ER, do not pass go, do not delay. Your body is telling you something is wrong.
I hope you took the advice of the vast majority of serious commenters & went to the ER. Please let us know how you are doing.
Haven’t read the comments. Has anyone blamed Biden yet?
Walk an hour a day if you are able.
If not ride a bike an hour a day.
I hope you are ok. You have not answered your own thread in more than 100 posts.
As it is, if you are in pain as well. Could very well be blood clotting. I assume this happened rather suddenly.
Hope you are checking it out.
