1. Turn off FR;
2. Lie down;
3. Call a doctor!

Go to a doctor. It’s heart problems or fluid retention.

You need to see a doctor and find out WHY. Don’t wait.

There are a lot of causes for swollen legs. Some need immediate care.

Lay down and put your legs up on pillows. Swollen legs and feet are the first indication of kidney issues. Compression wear will help if it is common for you, but the real cause needs to be checked out.

Call your PCP (Primary Care Physician), and he’ll refer you to a Cardiologist. 20mg or 40mg Lasix will probably be prescribed to drain the Edema problem.

Whenever my wife asks for medical advice I tell her she needs more sex. You’d be amazed how many ailments it cures. LOL

Swelling legs... what to do?

Stab them with a knife.

Make gravy.

Go to the emergency, right now.
I have a former fellow employee who developed a swelling leg problem.
It turned out to be a blood clot.

At least go see a doctor

Ok, ok, so I’ve been funnin’ ya. It’s because I am always amazed when someone on FR posts about a major medical condition instead of seeking help.

I hope you are seeking that help.

What did you do yesterday (Thanksgiving Day)?

If like most people, you overindulged and took in way more salt than normal. I would definitely seek medical attention as swelled legs is definitely a warning sign.

In meantime, drink a lot of water.

Sorry you are going through this. There are a lot of snarky comments I guess the men of FR tend to have an insulting sort of “humor” sometimes.

Swollen legs were an indication for my husband that he had developed congestive heart failure.

Get a friend of family to take you to the ER. It doesn’t just “go away.” I believe you will lessen damage to your heart and other organs if they get your blood pressure down and get some Lasik in you. At least that’s what happened here. However it is a serious symptom and you shouldn’t kick the can down the road. Just go deal with it, and no, not at the GP on Monday. Today.

Congestive heart failure.

Yes the Lasix is the medication they will put you on.

Get some Depend undergarments, you will need them.
