REDDING, Calif. — The NorCal OUTreach Program (NCOP) will hold a candlelight vigil on Saturday in Redding to honor those who were killed in a gay bar shooting in Colorado Springs late Saturday night.
The NCOP is a Redding-based non-profit that serves local LBGTQ+ community members.
Candles will be provides and signs are encouraged

Candlelight vigils are derived from a long-standing Christian practice. Compline, or Night Prayer, is the last prayer of the liturgical day before retiring for a night’s rest, done in the quiet and solitude of the late evening.
And as for candles:
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
So what are post-modern atheists and homosexuals expecting to gain from imitating such practices?
