Thieves have stolen a hoard of Celtic gold coins...from the museum in Manching, Bavaria...
Just before the break-in, nearby internet cables were cut causing widespread outages.
Employees discovered shattered glass on the museum floor and the coins missing from their display case the next morning.
They were unearthed during a 1999 archaeological dig near Manching - considered to be the biggest discovery of Celtic gold in the 20th Century. According to Mr Blume, the find gave people a glimpse into the daily lives of people living in Bavaria over 2000 years ago.

We were in the big history museum some years ago when I found a wallet.
So I opened it up and found... I forgot what I found but it wasn’t money.
We turned in the wallet at a desk and as it so happened it was part of a detective game they were running and they gave us a further clue. I think in the end we won a decorative paper stamped by the museum. It’s floating around here somewhere.
After I told my wife it is kind of cruel to leave a wallet in a busy tourist site... that could of had a lot of money and thus reward for finding it.
Pink Panther.
A glass case should have been enough of a deterrent to prevent the theft a couple million dollars worth of coins.
Note to self, if stealing gold German Museums are easy.

RE: Pink Panther.
“The thief slid under the laser beams.”
“So that explains the wax on the floor.”
“What wax...” Ohhhhhhhhhh.
Now where are they going to sell them ?
Based on the past decade and these associated ‘type’ of crimes....they all lead back to crime syndicates associated with either Turkish or Lebanese crime families. In some ways, it’s a competition of sorts, to get name recognition.
Same issue with the ATM machine blow-up operations (averaging one to two every single day across Germany). These are usually associated with Albanian gangs.
Melt them down and no one will know? That’s an idea if they were going to sell them.
“Now where are they going to sell them ?”
either a private collector commissioned the theft or they’ll go for the melt value equal to micro-pennies on the dollar of their actual value ...
Cut the internet.
That is how to take down an economy en masse very quickly.
Stolen by Sir Charles Phantom the notorious Litton no doubt.
Adding, but not pinging, it's a holiday, and we're all experiencing ping overload.
Only way they can unload it is melt it no private buyer would touch it.
