Garland's special counsel appointment more sinister than just Getting Trump
American Thinker ^ | 19 Nov, 2022 | Monica Showalter

The Biden administration's appointment of a special counsel is a seemingly useless move except when it is read as an attempt to shield Biden from congressional scrutiny and pick off GOP House members to flip Congress to the Democrats.

Even as the nakedly political aspect of Attorney General Merrick Garland's naming of a a special counsel to investigate President Trump is obvious enough, there are some puzzling aspects.

Why, for example, is the Biden administration doing this after all of the ongoing investigations against President Trump have manifestly failed? Garland claimed that both aspects of the special counsel's investigation would focus on President Trump, one of which would be his role in the January 6 incident at the Capitol, and the other on his personal papers dispute dating from the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago last August. January 6 has been investigated ad nauseum by Trump's biggest opponents in Congress and come up empty, and just days ago, the FBI sheepishly admitted that its unprecedented SWAT-style raid on the former president's Mar-a-Lago home in search of stolen nuclear secrets hyped in the press was a nothingburger, they found nothing. (Wonder how much they paid their informant for that bum tip and who the heck put that scammer on payroll?)

Obviously, they don't want these bids to fail, they don't want the January 6 commission to see its demise with the incoming Congress, and they desperately want their raid to be justified by a prosecutor who can find something, anything, to pin on Trump as he prepared to challenge Joe Biden for the presidency in 2024. Joe, who had to have had foreknowledge of this appointment, made it clear four days ago that the aim was not to find anything out regarding Trump

“Jack Smith was a war crimes prosecutor (something to do with Kosovo).”

He’s also recovering from a bicycle injury that occurred in Europe.
It looks like Garland is kicking the Trump investigations over to a newcomer.

Like every other Trump investigation this will be a nothing burger.

“Eventually, this crap will ‘die on a vine’ like everything else.”

This administration will find out from the next one that payback is a bitch.

The intent of the DOJ is to make sure there never is an opposition party candidate who wins. There intent is to exterminate the Republican Party, achieve single party rule.

In the mean time moderate Republicans will be astonished regarding congressmen getting investigated, yet say no reason to impeach Biden.

They also want to intimidate the incoming GOP House majority. Impeaching Merrick Garland should be the new House’s first priority and maybe defund the DOJ.

Has the informant ever been identified? I assume there are quite a few candidates, each with their own personal slice of spite. Or, there’s always the chance that the “informant” is fictional.

Merrick Garland is a BITTER, disappointed USSC nomination LOSER who should have recused himself in anything related to the successor President who got to name the SUCCESSFUL nomination for the USSC position he so desperately wanted/wants.

He’s nothing but a bitter leftist lackey shill and anybody he nominates to do anything is the same.

The guy’s claim to famee, and apparently only qualifiation, is that he supports world governnment.

I’m scretching my head. How does that make him impartial?

This is truly nasty stuff affecting all Republicans, not just President Trump. It's the doing of a banana republic dictator of huge unprecedented and unprosecuted corruption, as indicated in the Hunter Biden laptops and witness statements

We are not coming to the point of that banana republic. We are there. There will not again be any legitimate election and the people who hold power will keep it. The total surveillance state even now being implemented makes it impossible to gin up any effective opposition.

The DOJ isn’t likely going to be able to indict and successfully prosecute DJT, but they will be able to draw out the “investigation” with relentless “leaks” from “informed sources” throughout the 2024 presidential campaign.

Mission accomplished . . .

Just as the media had three and a half years of breathless Trump/Russia collusion to fill their airtime and pockets, a new bogus “investigation” will not only do the same, but it will also be a foil to the extensive congressional investigations of Biden family criminality and various high crimes and misdemeanors against We the People and our Constitution.
