Speak of onions, I might recommend adding some freshly diced, red onion to your bowl of chili. It’s not for everyone, but it’s something i tried a couple of years back and I loved it.

Gotta have beans, onions and garlic, but the real secret is 8 or so oz. of hoppy beer. An IPA works nicely. I also like a touch of cinnamon.

I am pro-beans too. I like to see half beans and half meat. They go along well together. I understand how some (Texans?) are very anti-beans. To each his own.
