Video released by the Baltimore Police Department shows the fatal shooting of “anti-violence activist” Tyree Moorehead, The incident occurred Sunday afternoon.
When officers arrived, Moorehead was seen lunging at a woman with a large kitchen knife, and an officer opened fire, fatally striking him.
Moorehead was the creator of the city’s “no shoot zones,” which he spray-painted around neighborhoods in an effort to reduce gun violence.
WARNING: The video is graphic.

Yes.
The White woman was the victim.
Actually, he shot Rosenbaum 4 times and the one that tried to head kick him once or twice, but, damn good, any way you look at it.
That was a bit crazy. Did most of those shots miss or was the guy on drugs?
Says the armchair cop.
It’s always easy to pass judgment when you are looking in from the outside after the fact.
pathetic, a mag dump and the POS was still alive...
Why did he stop firing? Ran out of rounds . . . but he did put in a new clip . . . just in case, you understand.
The victim was the woman.
They rendered above and beyond the call first aid to the perp.
I would tend to agree but the outcome was already determined, he was going to die anyway.
The backup officer was useless hiding behind their patrol car. What did he thing the guy was going to throw the knife at him after being shot 9 times?
My duty weapon was a Glock 19, it had 19 rounds in the mag.
I think the no 2 Cop was covering no 1 Cop’s 6.
What you saw there wasn't a deficit in the pistol round. It was a deficit in training. Officers are taught to fire until the threat is neutralized. That's why we see all these mag dumps in police shooting videos. As long as the target is moving, it's a threat, no matter how many rounds are pumped in to it. The second thing is marksmanship training in police departments across the country is grossly inefficient. In most cases, the only time an officer fires their weapon in any given year is 25 to 50 rounds at the range, under ZERO stress, other than having to qualify. That threat could have been neutralized in 2-3 shots at that range.
I'm not bagging on the officers, or saying I could do better. What I am doing is pointing a knifehand at police leadership and cities across the nation that ask these guys to do a shitty job, then leave them woefully underpreared to do it.
Back in the 1980s through the 1990s there was a joke referred to as “The Curse of the Gunnies” often printed up in Gun Week newspaper.
It was when anti-gun radicals were found to be attacking or shooting people they disagreed with.
I would say this is close enough to qualify.
“Those last shots were a bit over the top. The guy was not a threat by then.”
He was still holding the knife and still moving long after the last shot.
I know a young guy, well he was young then, shoot an attacker. It would have been self defense except he shot him again after he was laying on the floor. Life in prison. Still there and that was 20 years ago.
Just saying......
He would have spray painted more “no shoot zones”. But he had to steal more paint.
Ain’t nothing gentrified on west Lafayette street in Baltimore.
Just an exaggeration to illustrate a point of hitting what you are shooting at is more important than caliber.
That makes a lot more sense to me: why wouldn’t you carry a high capacity mag?
I thought first four or five were center-but-lower mass in the back: liver, gluteus, and pretty sure he got the spinal cord, dude's legs never moved a micrometer once he reflexively turned on his back. The final set were focused on that upper-right holding the knife.
The thing I can't get over is the dude standing literally 4 feet behind doesn't get zotted by a ricochet, but he would not give up his front-row seat.
