The billionaire’s plans, which were reported in The Washington Post last week, would account for 5,500 of the 7,500-strong workforce. Mr Musk previously described Twitter’s workforce as bloated, saying it had a “strong, left-wing bias”.

Before the deadline to agree on a deal on Friday, October 28 , TIME reports that it has seen a draft of an open letter that Twitter employees plan to circulate.

The employees demand that Mr Musk commits to preserving the company’s existing workforce. They argue that he should not discriminate against employees based on their political beliefs. There are also demands that the potential buyer must commit to fair severance policies and clearer communication about working conditions.

You can bet on it. And I think Musk knows it. He knows that if he dumps the fake accounts then there will be no need for 75% of these employees anymore.

We demand to be treated with dignity, and to not be treated as mere pawns in a game played by billionaires.

But they're cool with Soros's games.

I have an idea. They could name their startup JabberWoke. [which is an ironic reference to the very unwoke white privilege Lewis Carroll and Alice in Shrooomland].

should not discriminate based on political beliefs? Hell, that’s the norm at Twitter.

Money talks and bs walks. I’ll bet a dollar that if Musk said, you can keep your very well-paying jobs if you censor dimocrats instead of republicans, a lot of them would accept.

Especially after a few Space X employees came out with some idiotic public statement criticizing Musk a year or two ago. Musk responded by promptly firing them all.

Everytime, in every situation where leftists who have been lording over and denigrating conservatives are about to lose power, their response is always the same...

“Don’t you DARE do to us, all those nasty things we have been doing to you!”

Exactly. Start a parallel headquarters in a red state and hire as local as possible. Go to other red states ie not Commiefornia for quality engineers. Staff up and have the parallel headquarters take over functions as quickly as possible. Then comes the final phase: Shut down the San Francisco office and fire everyone there.

Wow, good find. Jay Gould sounds like an early version of George Soros. What an utter and complete jerk. He is very intriguing.

If it were me: okay, you convinced me. 100% instead of 75%.

"75% is a good start."

A double whammy for california revenue.

Loss of income tax plus social services will be required to assist the
unemployed waifs as they miserably wail and wallow in self-pity.

“The employees demand that Mr Musk commits to preserving the company’s existing workforce.”

LOL! “The employees DEMAND.”

If they want to make the rules, then they should band together and buy the company.

It is, however, California. So there will be lawsuits and court cases and plaintiff friendly judges to deal with.

I worked for a major aerospace company in CA for many years. Employment law is very tough there and tilts strongly to the employer.

Very few people fought a layoff after the first few were financially plucked by the legal fee awards.

Doubtless these were the same people who made the lives of any conservative coworkers miserable, never hesitated to report their every misdeed (real or fabricated) and urged they be terminated for their politics. Embrace the suck, snowflake libtard losers!
