Never-before-seen footage released by the House select committee investigating last year’s Capitol riot shows House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and other lawmakers attempting to quell the violence of Jan. 6, 2021 - with Pelosi at one point complaining of Trump supporters defecating in the halls of Congress.
The video was meant to contrast the frantic activity of House and Senate leaders with the inaction of then-President Donald Trump, who reportedly watched the chaos unfold for hours on television at the White House.
“We have got to get … finish the proceedings or else they will have a complete victory,” Pelosi tells someone over the phone as she is escorted to a secure location from the House floor after rioters disrupted the official count of 2020 electoral votes.
The House speaker is then seen huddled in a small room with Reps. James Clyburn (D-SC), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), and other others as she plots aloud on how to resume House business.
This previously unseen footage shows Congressional leaders - both Republicans and Democrats - as they were taken to a secure location during the January riot.
“There has to be some way we can maintain the sense that people have, that there’s some security, or some confidence, that government can function and that you can elect the President of the United States,” Pelosi says, after which she is informed that everybody on the House floor is putting on gas masks.
“Can you believe this?” a dumbfound Pelosi says.
The nearly seven-minute-long video is spliced with footage of the rioters attacking law enforcement officers and breaking into the Capitol, and it is time stamped as the events unfold.

I don’t have the time now. But I would be very interested to compare what Pelosi and cohorts are wearing before during and after the filming of this bogus crap. This is so obviously staged and scripted I wouldn’t be surprised if it was filmed last week but they forgot wardrobe to match what they were wearing.
I attended several conservative rallies in the Obama years. At the end I produced a garbage bag and started policing the capital grounds. Several others did also. We even picked up cigarette butts. At one point a woman and I spotted a discarded cup and had the, “Oh, you can have it...no, no, you saw it first” conversation. It was hilarious. My point is, conservatives do not make a mess. We clean it up.
I'm absolutely certain that thousands wanted to get the hell out of there but were stuck and had no where to go except WITH the crowd. Amazing that no one got trampled...which means the rioting was only by a few.
Someone please help me here because I am having a difficult time wrapping my arms around this. There are literally hundreds of government cameras taking video in and around federal buildings and the grounds surrounding them and the ONLY video captured in all of this is one taken by Pelosi’s daughter?
What is surprising to me is that of the thousands of “Trumpian” protesters that day, not one video was ever uploaded for all to watch? Can anyone provide more information on the subject?
Watching Congress Cowards hide under their desks because a bunch of unarmed boomers protested in a public building was one the greatest days in American history. These pathetic worms are very brave sending Americans off to die in some 3rd world hellhole but look how easily the crumble with almost no effort. The American people can’t forget the power they truly have.

Rioters weren’t defecating on the Capitol floor. They were just following Nadler and the other geriatric members of Congress.

I have been to dozens of conservative protests ranging from five people to half a million, and the most offensive thing I have ever seen (Besides some off-duty Marines pissing on boxes of anti-American flyers stashed by Leftists under the Arlington Memorial Bridge, where the Leftists had put them for later distribution) was a sign on a port-a-pottie describing it as “Obama’s Office”.
I will bet money none of those crapping people are in prison.
Even those who were “defecating on the Capitol floors” were part of the staged team that entered the Capitol along with the large part of the sight-seeing crowd that was roaming through the halls, most of whom did not realize the trickery that got them admitted to begin with.
10,000 National Guard troops stationed around the entrances to the Capitol would have been SO helpful that day.

Politifacts can try to rebrand and recast the facts of the case all they like, but there really was a “false flag” operation going on that day, which is still being officially denied.

Schumer was not majority leader at the time, McConnell was.
The Georgia senate race results were not certified yet, the GOP had a majority. Plus, Pence was still VP, giving the GOP the tie breaker had it been needed, though it was not needed.
Schumer became majority leader on January 20th.

Newsmax revealed that Ted Cruz and another fella had started procedures to contest the election, and were making their case on e floor when the left panicked and ordered the guards to run outside and let the protestors in, hoping thst they would disrupt Cruz and the other fella- which they did. At that point you could see guard run outside and swing open the barriers and were frantical.y saving their arms to usher potestors into the building.
