No need to apologize Snowy. It’s heartbreaking to see how governments have purposefully destroyed so much family solidarity in two short years. I hope it can all be repaired in time. The problem is so widespread though that it may take a worldwide crisis to bring families back together at the same speed they were torn apart. A nuclear scare or alien invasion come to mind. I’m not hoping for either of those, just something that jolts everyone awake and back to appreciating the only thing that really matters - our relationships. So much sadness.
I keep telling myself that he’s 25. He just doesn’t get it yet. But I will tell him my concerns and hope that he mans up and asserts himself a bit more. Let’s just say my in-laws see my grandson more than I do. I have to address it and not make the situation worse. I’m not sure how to do that but I know my way will be far better than my Italian wife’s way who happens to have PTSD.

Well you could always go to the bank and remove your co-signature, using the rationale that you only co-sign for extremely close and trusting relationships, and you just don’t have that any more with them. The explanation would be that it’s not a punishment, it’s just an acknowledgement of the current state of your barely existent relationship. But yikes! The fallout from that would certainly be transformative - one way or the other. It tears me up to see so many very good people being hurt by their children who have mistaken information (from the TV) for knowledge.

The German authorities have decided not to exchange the hryvnia for the euro anymore. Why? This decision was made due to the fall in demand for the Ukrainian currency. Thus, the hryvnia ceases to be a convertible currency. October 30 has been declared the last day in Germany when Ukrainians will be able to exchange their savings in hryvnias for euros. Soon other EU countries will stop exchanging the hryvnia. If they believed in the future of the Ukrainian economy, they would not take such a step, but now everything is becoming clear.
