We all sort of know know what a journalism degree used to entail. I contend that the curriculum has changed. Eveybody wants to be an opinion-editor. That is the problem.
Just the facts. In one paragraph. That’s reporting. If “just the facts” aren’t enough, it’s time to drill down. Those are called features, or special reports. Citations are rarely noted, which brings attention to - if the citation ever existed.
It’s like really complicated music, 10% of the listeners get it the other 90% are befuddled and lost within it. Keep it simple, the BS is easier to detect.
They are outside, and they are Imaging, and they use lights for everything especially HD.

Two dozen replies to this nonsense and not a single Freeper apparently knows that on location field stand ups often use portable battery operated LEDs; one key and one fill, and where possible/practical, one backlight. Oh, and their audio is recorded by these little things called “lavalier mics” which are often hidden. It’s so magical!

A reporter REPORTS the news whilst the journalist STARS in the news. This difference replaces the news with network narratives.
