My husband (red diaper baby from uber commie Boston family who became a conservative in college) met Jimmy about 25 years ago at a book signing in Boston. They spoke for about fifteen minutes, and my husband said Jimmie couldn’t have been a more genuine, nice human being.
He’s got some fundamentally wrong headed ideas but good for Jimmeh.
And I wouldn’t want him to share his pudding with Biden.
Happy Birthday, Jimmy Carter. May you have many more birthdays before going to meet your great brother brew master Billy.
Too bad you lost your title as worst president of my lifetime to Brandon.
nice man, horrible president.
You mean there are at least 26 other conservatives in Chicago?
Just wondering about what the comparison of the Carter Foundation and the Clinton foundation regarding % of income to philanthropic expenditures (excluding “operating costs and administrative costs”) would show. Somehow Amy is taking money from their foundation as Chelsea is pilfering from the Clinton “foundation.”
Being nice means nothing when your responsibility is for a large group of people and their well-being. Think teaching, military, supervisor, etc.. One has to do what is right for the benefit of the larger group, not special interests. Unfortunately, men are easily corrupted.
Carter was a nuclear engineer in the Navy, and initiated the program to build 100 nuclear reactors in the US which was completed in 6 years. We have only built a handful in the last 20 years. Because we like to freeze in the dark.
...Somehow DOUBT Amy...
That’s the problem with many liberals - too naive.
If they were more logical or reasonable they wouldn’t be liberals.
He will be remembered for giving away the Panama Canal....and for sinning because he “thought about it”.
“President Carter may have only led the nation for four years, but...” he wrecked it like no other president before him. UNTIL Obama came a long. Then UNTIL Biden came along.
I wish it had been Reagan.
Not sure what you mean by this. Husband is from Boston and met Carter in Boston.
Happy Birthday President Jimmy Carter.
I will always remember him fondly for the story of the killer rabbit!

True that. And he’s the last of the traditional, old-time liberals. It sure would be nice if he spoke up against this insane cancel-culture were suffering through now. It’s killing our great tradition of free speech.
Carter has got to know that this is wrong. He could do the country one last service by speaking up.
Well, he needed something to be best at since Joe took away his Worst President Trophy.
This monster will never die.
“nice man, horrible president.”
I agree. I met him once at a church luncheon in 1990. Very nice man, very humble. Zero talk about politics.
He was a terrible President though.
Hopefully not for long.
