With six weeks to go until November’s elections, a new public opinion poll in the crucial battleground state of Pennsylvania indicates that Democratic Lt. Gov. John Fetterman is ahead of GOP nominee Mehmet Oz in the race for Senate, with Democratic state Attorney General Josh Shapiro leading Republican state Sen. Doug Mastriano by double digits in the gubernatorial showdown.
Fetterman tops Oz, the cardiac surgeon and celebrity doctor, 51%-44% among those likely to vote in the general election, according to a Marist College Poll in Pennsylvania conducted Sept. 19-22 and released on Tuesday. Among a wider pool of all registered voters, the survey indicates Fetterman with a 10-point 51%-41% lead, with 7% of those questioned undecided.
"What is particularly unusual in these numbers, is that, with still six weeks to go, most voters have already picked sides," Marist College institute for Public Opinion Lee Miringoff highlighted. "Few Keystone voters are undecided or say they support a candidate but might vote differently."

Trafalgar polling has consistently been oversampling Republicans and Women.. SIGNIFICANTLY oversampling.
Trafalgar polls for PA have consisitenly oversampling GOP by around 4-5 points, and under sampling independents 4-5 points

Their sampling is not remotely in line with numbers. They are oversampling GOP.. I would not hang my hat on their numbers being the “most accurate” this cycle.

Some might consider your post to be too pessimistic. However, I do not. For the GOP to win Pennsylvania, they’ve got to rack up big numbers in the region between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. As you noted, Oz is not the guy to do that.
Lots of GOP voters in that region are going to say, “Aw, the hell with it”, and go fishing instead. Those voters can be rightly criticized for that. And they will have to live with Sen. Fetterman.
But Trump, Hannity, and the other big shots deserve a big slice of the blame for imposing Oz on the state in the first place.
Push polls - designed to force the participation rate in the general election DOWN, which tends to favor the less popular candidate.
“Whom do you hate the least?” Doesn’t matter if the voter never shows up, or does not vote that part of the ticket.
Keep in mind, it’s time for suppression polls to be aired for the sake of the Democrats.

If Oz were running for some suburban purple congressional district around Philly or NJ Border, he’d probably win comfortably... Statewide? He’s a joke... utterly and completely off brand.

OZ has no argument for him, nor do his supporters, all they have is “well at least he’s not the other guy”....
And if you think that’s going to get the kind of excitement and turn out needed in rural PA to overcome the Democrat registration advantage you are fooling yourself.
Only way OZ wins, is if the D brand is so damaged by Biden that any R would win... could it happen? We will see in a few weeks. But basically OZ will likely slightly over perform a generic R in the east, and underperform a generic R in the rest of the state... and that won’t get it done.
Not that it matters, whichever one of these turds wins, PA and America loses... this is literally an election where Pennsylvanians get to decide, do you want your crap sandwich with or without corn.

That’s stupid. They are going to get one or the other. They might as well at least take part in making the decision. I wouldn’t necessarily like either one of them either, but I also wouldn’t fool myself into believing there is no difference between them, and it doesn’t matter who gets elected.
