No loss of muscle mass, but metabolic indications all improved, just by reducing protein to 0.8 grams per kilogram (.364 grams per pound) of weight, but otherwise eating additional calories to make up for the lost calories from the protein reduction.

I’ve been watching Dr. Berry videos on Carnivore. They went the other way, high protein high fat, no vegetables. And they look pretty lean and healthy after years of that.

Getting the public ready for the no meat agenda. For climate change, for your health - meat is bad bad bad. The elites will still eat meat of course.

Sounds like government funded BS like the government food pyramid. Atkins and Keto is the way to go.

If protein restriction causes activation of autophagy at the end of periods between meals (for example before breakfast), then it works to clear out damaged cell components and damaged cells.

So the average person gets 2 oz of protein a day? Is it even worth dirtying a pan for 2 oz?

Not as healthy or filling so harder to stick with for the same calories as going low in simple carbs instead.
But of course our overlords want us to stop eating meat...

I guess I must be atypical.
I dumped carbs, while increasing protein and fat intake, and lost ~40% of my weight and reversed my trending towards Type II. Blood tests are in their proper range.
After reaching a much healthier weight, added carbs on occasion and have stayed healthy.
