Chilling surveillance video captured the moment two armed men stole a 10-month-old French bulldog after injuring the pooch’s owner in California.
Dog owner Amanda Hightower was attacked moments after she left her home on Teresita Court in Hollister on Thursday morning and then returned for a forgotten item, according to KSBW.
“I surprised them when I had come in the door, so they attacked me, and they kept telling me to stay on the ground, ‘Don’t move!’ you know, cussing at me, and I was trying to fight back,” she told the news outlet.

I will bet photos of her dog were all over her public social media page. That’s all the thieves needed.
I understand that French bulldogs must have C-section for birth (reason for cost). If that’s the case, I hope the crooks understand this.
She’ll get her back when she offers enough of a reward.
Factor in 7k for the dog, plus food, visits to the vet, future sales potential and emotional attachment. How high do you predict that number will be?
10k?
The only good thing is her nacent puppy mill was nipped in the bud.
Anyone that would purposely breed a “dog” at 10 months has no concern about ethics and animal health.
Sure enough they have breed the dogs to almost require c-sections.

There are two particular complications that pregnant French Bulldogs face more often than most other dog breeds: anasarca and dystocia.
Anasarca
Anasarca is the medical term used to describe severe swelling (edema) that can happen right before a French Bulldog mother gives birth. It always endangers the life of both the mother dog and the puppies and requires an emergency C-section.
Dystocia
Dystocia is the medical term that describes a difficult delivery due to the physical impossibility of passing the puppies through the birth canal naturally.
The Kennel Club (UK) states that dystocia is a condition that more commonly affects French Bulldog puppies than most other dog breeds.
There is only one reason the media would black out the face of a wanted criminal as they did in that photo of the thug coming out the door.
Have an expensive dog in California? Expect a home invasion, while getting pistol whipped. It’s why the wealthy in CA gave up limos long ago and now use discreet vehicles, so they don’t get followed home, robbed and killed.
Bostons too. If they survive a natural birth, their brains can get squeezed so much, often they’re retarded or have motor issues among other problems. It’s also not going to be a good time for the dam.
Is she a Democrat or a decent person?
OK... Not sure what that has to do with the OP, but I really like my dogs (but for $100k - I would let all of them go!)
Yep here in LA about $200.00 a lot of smash and grab here.
I will not...no way. They are my best friends...kinda like family.
Better call John Wick
Hey, a French-speaking bulldog? Worth the seven grand.
FWLIW, I know Lefties that go berserk if you use the word thug with respect to a black person acting like, well, a thug. To them, it’s as bad as using the n-word.
I hope these thugs get caught.
