Retrieved my mail yesterday (it’s a 2-mile trip to the mailbox and back; I only do it a few times a week...) and that edition of ‘Southern Living’ was inside! Yay!

For some reason, they’ve been subbing one magazine for others that are going out of print. I think ‘Martha Stewart Living’ is finally ending it’s, what, 40 year run? Love her or hate her, she knows her stuff. I’ve learned a lot from her through the years about gardening, house plants and cooking.

Temps here are slated to go from the high 80's to the mid-60's by this Thursday, so I am gleaning the garden of any and all tomatoes that are still out there. They will go into my big roasting pan with EVOO, garlic, onion and herbs (Parsley, Rosemary & Basil) and be roasted then frozen for later use in Lasagna, Spaghetti & 'Weber-balls' (LOL!), etc. Great way to use up whatever is left when you are sick to DEATH of canning.

I made three Apple Pies with French Crumb Topping, yesterday. Used 'Liberty' and 'Honeycrisp' apples straight off of my trees. They are in the freezer for future baking. I need a few more supplies and I'll be making more pies, plus more Apple Sauce and Apple Butter.

Magazines; everything is migrating online or going under. I still get Midwest living which I look at and pass on to daughter since she and husband are more likely to take day trips to the places in their articles.

Your Senatrix Baldwin is fully compliant so more at risk for whatever this vaccine does to people. (Don't you enjoy watching Rand Paul making the Fauch squirm about his vaccine flip flops and whether he benefits from the research monetarily?) Former Sheriff David Clarke might make a good candidate. (I think he is R., but at least he has some understanding of dealing with crime. )
