Temps here are slated to go from the high 80's to the mid-60's by this Thursday, so I am gleaning the garden of any and all tomatoes that are still out there. They will go into my big roasting pan with EVOO, garlic, onion and herbs (Parsley, Rosemary & Basil) and be roasted then frozen for later use in Lasagna, Spaghetti & 'Weber-balls' (LOL!), etc. Great way to use up whatever is left when you are sick to DEATH of canning.
I made three Apple Pies with French Crumb Topping, yesterday. Used 'Liberty' and 'Honeycrisp' apples straight off of my trees. They are in the freezer for future baking. I need a few more supplies and I'll be making more pies, plus more Apple Sauce and Apple Butter.

Fall arrives at my house on Thursday, right on time. Now, where are my UGG boots and sweatshirts? :)

That is a great Idea! Save that picture in the file for your future "A Wisconsin Gardener and Hunter's Cookbook"!
There was a Hollywood movie about dropping out making applesauce!
Diana Keaton making applesauce!

Somewhere in the past you read a book about a lady who actually did this to a farm with an Apple orchard. What was that book?
