EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.

Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. I’ve been looking out the window periodically and keep seeing all these bodies scurrying to the dumpster with one bag or more of trash, some large, others small. Several have made more than one triip! They’ve known for a month that the inspection is for today, but it seems they’re just now taking care of business.
I did most of mine over the last week, making sure I just had to toss out the last-minute stuff and straighten things up. But I want my place to look neat, which is why this tiny place bothers me so much. There are no closets to store things.
Hopefully, they’ll miss me this time.

Looks like I may have been spared this time around. I heard the emergency alarm for this building ring, but I have no idea which apartment it was for.
It looks like the whole gang is here, so the inspection is well underway. Maybe they did one apartment in each building (five) and let it go. Hopefully, I’m gone by this time next year. What a bonus!
