EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

It was a “warm” 54° this morning, but it is October, so I shouldn’t be surprised. Days are still in the 80’s.
Good job on your Wordle!
What precious kittehs!
Good morning. For a while, yet.
Did you sleep well?
How is your sciatica today, after being prodded and poked and twisted?
My fours and fives are fairly close to each other, but it would seem the threes are catching up. It must be my starting word, though I don’t understand the difference — I swapped one vowel for another and one consonant because the word I had been using was taken. And that was the day I decided to change the starting word!
Still you didn’t hit an X/6 so you’re good!
Good job!
The sun is bright today and beginning to shine in my living room window. My eyes are complaining.
I hope you’re feeling improvement in your overall being.
I need to do some filing today, and then seriously think about painting the door again tomorrow. Unngh.
w00t!
Unngh!
My leg joints and muscles are feeling kind of numb, now. Young Josh says that I’m improving. I don’t have the shooting pain all the way down to my foot anymore.
Yeah, that would be typical with ongoing treatment, that numb feeling.
I’m glad to hear that the pains have lessened. I’ll still keep you in my prayers.
Thank you. Every bit helps.
You know, it’s the only thing I have that I can give to everyone, so praying is what I do! 💖
Don’t forget about Tom the Son, please!
Tom the Son is always included, as is Elen, USMC and Bill the Elusive. In fact, all the Chicklets are included!
I haven’t heard from Bill for a while. (This was normal when he lived in Charlotte, too.) I should text him.
The late Igor used to say that God watched out for fools and drunks, and I somehow don’t think Bill falls into the latter category, so I’m thinking God is watching out for him.
When neither of my kids was in contact with me, I had to trust that God was taking care of them for me. After some of the things my daughter told me when I visited a couple of years ago, I think I’m glad I didn’t know! Although, that’s a thing that God is uniquely suited for — watching out for foolish children.
Yes, we’d all be a mess if God wasn’t looking out for us. Even more than we are, I mean.
This is true! He’s saved me several times.
Good news to be sure. Nowt worse than unsolicited nerve pain.
My arms erupt in a sea of hurt if I don’t fold my arms across my chest before sneezing. Look weird, but goes with the territory.
Was warm and sunny today, they promised cold and overcast....I want my money back. :)
It has been sunny part of the day here.
