EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.

Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. I did, but now I’m trying to decide if I want to go to church with the Other Folks or if I want to call for a ride with someone else. Or if I even want to go. (I really don’t belong here, so it’s hard to garner any enthusiasm for much of anything.)
Yesterday’s numerous visits from Mona were unsettling. She is what my mother would call “an addle-pated flibbety-jibbet.”
I want a hot shower and to write some long-overdue letters.

I thought I was together, but when I went to get dressed, the outfit I chose (because I’ve lost weight) showed me that I hadn’t lost nearly as much as I thought I had, so I had to find something else. I went through three combinations before I found the two that went together and fit in all the right places. *sigh*
But one happy thing today, I’ll be going to a friend’s house on Wednesday to watch “Top Gun,” so that’s going to be fun.
PW made a big sign so they don’t have to open their front door: I’ll email it to you.
I’m glad something worked out. I was daring and wore a red skirt and black blouse instead of black skirt and red blouse.
Now I’m making supper, and then I have to take Frank to his religious ed class.

The laundry is done except for hanging it up, but I’ll do that in a while. I want to try and get a few more winks, before I really start my day, but not just yet.
