EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

It’s called Parks. It’s about hiking in the National Parks. It was very complicated, but we got it figured out. DP and I tied and Kathleen was second.
Congrats on 3,500!
Good morning. Happy Twosday!
No Wordle yet. Still working on today’s installment.
We got through the bitter cold and are now entering a warming trend. No word on our daughter’s car as the only commercial driving allowed in the Buffalo area includes rescue efforts. They may be done enough with the emergency today to get the car over to the repair shop. Then we shall see.
The “youngster” doesn’t seem harmed. She did get a pretty bad cold from spending the night in a rest area, but she’s on the mend and will hopefully be able to see her grandparents before she goes back.
I guess that’s all the news that’s fit to print.
Got it. I wasted a guess or I might have gotten a 4.

Good morning. I hope you had a good night.
Walmart sent me a text at 0600 saying some items weren’t available in my order and I thought, “OK, I’ll just lie here for bit longer.” At 0715 the alarm rings. Crikey! I need to hit the ground running! The grocery order will be here!
And then I realized I don’t have an alarm on my phone for 0715. But it rang and I shut it off.
I didn’t hit the ground running. I sat here reading the mail and checking things and then I realized the delivery is supposed to be here between 0800 and 0900. It was by then 0800.
This must be Tuesday. And now, I feel rushed.
I’m here anyway. And I feel like I’m not making any sense at all.
That right there is pretty skeery!
We’re going to have about 41° but no rain until tomorrow and Thursday. Right now, it’s 23 Fs.
Happy Tuesday, Wordler Peeps!
Here’s today’s try, for what it’s worth. I mean, once you’ve eliminated a bunch of consonants and most of the vowels, there’s not much to choose from.

Good morning. It is Tuesday here as well. I had a night with Jake. It’s warm when he’s in a ball, purring, but then it’s in and out and in and out.
I went to Weight Watchers.
Did I mention wind? 20-30 mph, gusts to 55.
Damned dog won’t go out. Tyson is chicken...
I’ve been doing nothing and I haven’t found a name for it, yet. FS just dropped by to take the door snake to the USPS for the FD, so that was the high point of my day. He had to look at the bed to make sure the frog coverlet was on there properly and was proud of himself for picking it out. He should be!
Anyway, this is ‘Face doing nothing.
Yeah, the winds are pretty fierce in the Sierras. Enough to make a person (or a dog) not want to go out. For any reason.
Afternoon. Asuncion sent me the lyrics for Sunday, and I’ve been getting them organized. I just need a little more information about the order of verses for one of them.
Good for Asuncion sending you the lyrics. It always helps when you have a reliable person to help you get things organized.
As the delivery gal was struggling with the case of water, one of my neighbors began to talk to her and kept talking to her to the point that the delivery gal had to stop. She was still holding the case of water, and I was holding the door open so she wouldn’t have to hold that case forever. And while she was holding it, trying to mosey towards my door, two bottles of water dropped out of the case and onto the ground. One rolled under the neighbor’s car but I was able to catch the other one. The delivery gal said, “Maybe it rolled to the other side!” and took off running for it. It did. She got it.
She was sweet about the whole thing. She’s maybe in her late 20’s. But she had a good attitude about the whole thing!
The people who deliver seem to be a whole new breed of people. I admire them.
I’m off to watch the Blanket Show and I hope I manage to sleep with no commercial interruptions!
I’ll let you know how that works. ;o]
I hope the sleep works out really well. At least you don’t have Jake.
I’m sorry about the Jake thing. Maybe I’ll be lucky and get back to sleep before too long.
A sore throat woke me up, but I think it’s been nagging at me for the last two days. Which probably means I’m heading into another relapse. I hope it doesn’t last long this time. It’s only been two months since the last one ended.
