EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Good morning.
Good morning, did y’all have a nice Christmas?
We did, thank you for asking. The cats are upset because we had guests, including a dog.
How about you?
All in all it was nice, meal and desserts were good.... just the usual stresses of food prep and cooking running a bit longer than planned and folks showing up a bit earlier than expected.... biggest stressor was when someone thought that it would be a good idea to let the dogs into the back yard not knowing that there were young chickens loose back there....
😮
Oh, dear.
They all seemed to have survived... as we got out there quickly... a bit shaken up... thankfully none of our dogs are very aggressive...
Yeah, it was that kind of word, for sure!!
We have some slick stuff coming down, but I’m not sure what it is. Just that it’s cold outside!
The nap was OK, but just not long enough.
I’m feeling a little queasy, and I think I’m still dehydrated.
It’s gloomy and wet outside, along with being cold.
Yes, but not in the South, thanks! I now know where not to spend the rest of my life!
Nothing like a chicken frenzy to set the tone for the day! A topic for conversation for many Christmases to come!
It is warmer and dryer here... still got a couple of cold overnights, then a real warm up... rainy day on Thursday, so they say...
😂
(I can laugh now... not so much yesterday!)
Sleeping in is good. /lazy Monday morning
I was up at Oh-Dark-Thirty getting things assembled to take to the laundry room. Now, of course, I need to find the gumption to get up from here before I face-plant into the keyboard!
Lazy Monday is right! LOL!
Good morning. The post office is closed today.
Back from nap. I got cold. It’s not the same without Jake.
Yes, it is closed.

I think I started this an hour ago, but the doorbell rang and it was Mona. It took a while, but she had to tell me about her Christmas. Golly. Then PW had to tell me about her latest cooking adventures, and now, well, I was worn out before I did anything.
I just now finished making the bed, and turned the mattress pad on, so I will be able to take my pills and go head for the Blanket Show.
I hope you had a pleasant day!
Did, thanks. I hope you have a good night! We’re going to play a new board game when DP gets out of the shower. He read the directions and watched the “How to Play” video.
So, does the Board Game have a name?
THAT is a very pretty pheasant from Nepal!
I watch a lot of documentaries, and it seems I learn about a new animal or two in every one of them. The Mind of God seems to have been filled with wonderful ideas about plants, animals and their symbiotic relationships. I never get tired of learning about them.
