EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.

Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. Good morning. I hope you had a restful night. Once I fell asleep, I was OK, and if it hadn’t been for the alarm, I’d probably still be asleep. Stupid thing rang for three minutes before my brain finally registered it.
I don’t want to Adult today, but one thing is sure, I’m not setting the alarm for any day after tomorrow until I feel rested somewhat. These insomnia bouts are knocking me out.

Good morning. I was awakened around midnight by Tom loudly coming home from a friend’s house. I think he was loudly talking on the phone to Elen, but he might have been loudly talking to James.
Now that I know you’re up, I’ll send you some of my not-very-good snaps.
They were actually pretty good snaps, but just not close enough to see his face all that well. Anoreth, well, I’ve seen lots of pics of her, so I know she’s just going to look a little older than 10 years ago!
It looks like a fun event, anyway.
The shower was nice and warm but the bathroom is, was and will always be a thorn in my side. I’ll never get used to the hot and cold faucets being reversed in there. In the kitchen sink, they’re fine. Even though the bed is in a different cubby hole, this feels like a studio apartment.
About 125 yards visibility in ice fog. 19°.
That sucks. That’s when you get icicles hanging off your nose like the folks in Lower Slobovia.

We got our cat food delivery from Walmart, but not the shower curtains, which is what we really wanted. The latest news is they’ll be here Wednesday or Thursday.
Some of the stuff in my orders takes a day, and some takes a week. It just depends. Maybe the week before it was delivered with everything else, but they’re out of stock when I order again so it’s shipped from wherever. Weird.
Church was good, but even though I was dressed warmly (I thought) I was very cold by the time Sunday School was over with. I’ve been very cold the last few days, and I’m thinking it will be a while longer before I warm up.
I spoke with the guy who’s going to drive the U-Haul and reminded him that I would give him as much notice as possible so he can clear it with his boss. (Long-haul trucker.) I couldn’t be in safer hands, I don’t think!
Anyway, I’m taking my silly self to bed. Yes, it’s early, but I’m cold and very tired, and tomorrow is Monday!!

Thanks! I did! Mostly. One text came in after midnight, but I didn’t rouse myself enough to even look at the clock. I figured it was PW or an update to some app on the phone, and it wasn’t worth looking at.
