EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Good morning, -00!
Good Morning!
Somehow I surprised myself and stumbled into a 3-spot today...

Oh, look! A camo-kitteh!!
Good morning. Did you have a good night?
I’ll have to get up from here in a bit and sort pills, but I’m not really in the mood for it. Still, life goes on. And I’m very tired.
Good for you!!! I love those surprises, even when they happen to me! ;o]
I had a pretty good night, although I was having weird dreams that mashed up the novel I was reading and church committee issues. Murders all around ...
I’m done with my phone call, and next I’ll have lunch and then maybe peel beets. I just downloaded an audiobook from the library, yay me!
Good to hear from you anyway.
Things could be worse, I guess. At least you haven’t started writing poetry.
He wouldn’t let anyone grab pants for him without a lot of screaming and hollering, and he wouldn’t sit on towels.
However, he made it through. He thinks it was a complete waste of time. Of course, he’s not the one who cleans up if he has an accident.

Ordinary w00t!
I just finished peeling and cutting up a bunch of the beets from my garden. It looked like a murder scene. Jake came by several times and was very disappointed when I let him sniff the knife.

Almost time to repot that kitteh, eh?
Which book did you download?
And how is your spiritual advisor these days?
Nothing has gotten done here, today, except the pill sorting.
I was going to write out some Christmas cards, but that didn’t get done. Then I thought of doing thank you cards, but they didn’t get done either, so hopefully, they’ll all be written tomorrow. After I write to Charlie, of course.
Right now, all I want to do is go to bed. The sun is actually shining, but it’s very cold out. And the wind is blowing.
I’ll watch a little more “Poirot” or something more entertaining for a couple of hours, and then I’ll trundle off to bed. I can’t believe the lazy hours I’m keeping here.
“The Mystery of the Chopped Beetroot!”
Who did such a dastardly deed, and why was it done? Was anyone witness to this heinous crime? Will there be any beetlets left to mourn?
Stay tuned for the next exciting (or not) episode of “The Garden Massacre!”
Steve is doing okay, but he has a lingering cough since having Covid in early November.
The book is “Life on the Mississippi” by Rinker Buck, the author of “The Oregon Trail.” He’s going to make a flatboat trek from Pittsburgh to New Orleans after much preliminary information and apparently irrelevant chat.
You don’t want your kitteh to get rootbound.
