EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners

DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.

Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. Good morning. I hope you were able to get an early night and that you slept well.

The laundry is done, but it would seem one of the dryers is faulty as in, not drying well, and the front-loading washer is charging $1.75 per load instead of the $1.50 that’s listed above the coin slot. So far in the last six weeks, I’ve “donated” 75¢ to the company that has the contract. UNNGH!

I’ll try to take a nap, but I may not be successful.

We probably got about 5 inches of snow yesterday. F-I-L wanted me to use his snowblower on his driveway for the 1 inch he had when I went over. He really hates it when we don’t use his machine.

But I got the car brushed off and shoveled around in case Mrs. ArGee wants to go out. Hopefully she’ll wait until the sun has melted some of the ice on the windows.
