EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Any day now! Go for it! :o])

Try this one. Or the poetry book — Our Side of the Wall.
I recommend the paperback versions, but that’s just me.
I prefer the paperback. I like to turn real pages and smell the ink, thanks! Just tell me where I can get them, please. ;o]
Very clever!
One of the hairy layabouts went to work at his park job, and the other has made supper. It’s something.
Best place, I think, would be Barnes and Noble, using the pen name Brian B. Hawthorne. You might be able to get free shipping or arrange pickup at your local store.
Cautionary statement: I’m calling some of these books a treatise on social behaviors masquerading as a sex book.
Sociological science fiction — yeah, that’s it.
Breathtaking! Thank you.
I thought she was very pretty, too.
Kewl, thanks. I'll check and see if they will fit my budget for next month. This month is already a wash, financially. I mean, Christmas, and all, living next to the offspring and their spawn.
Yeah, I remember that guy. Seems I have a few of his books. Somewhere. ;o]
The bread didn’t get made for one more day.
Then I decided to have a meltdown. Or it decided to have me.
I was fluent in gibberish for a while, then had to go to the birthday party for James and lost it completely when he read the card out loud and I forgot to put the “IOU a gift” in it. NOT a good day.
I couldn’t keep the pain at bay, either. Double whammy.
The titles haven’t changed, so if the title is new to you then the book is new to you.
I’ve put out eight books this year, including a new edition of the original “Outlandish!”
Then came “The Day of Magic Rain”, and then “Action!” and “Reaction!”
... and then some time went by ...
And then came “Ethereal”, then “Evelynish” (be careful of that one!); And then I wrote “Sweet Tooth” (my story, not the animal-kids) and then finally I put out a collection of poems, “Our Side of the Wall”.
I have some more titles, but I have to write the books first.
That is exactly what is in front of us... and no, the SUN didn't show itself at all today... Sigh.
I’m sorry your day went badly. James is old enough to understand your financial constraints and to realize that having a grandmother who cares about him is the real gift. Even my James is old enough!
I have the “Outlandish!,” “The Day of Magic Rain,” “Action!” and “Reaction!” somewhere, and “Ethereal” and “Evelynish” I ran across when I was sorting things to move here, so I have, in one form or another, everything but “Sweet Tooth” and “Our Side of the Wall.”
I enjoy all your books and I’m looking forward to reading the last two. Maybe I’ll re-read the others. ;o]
Thanks.
James may be old enough, but I’m not, when it comes to my kids and grandkids. The latter, especially. It hurts my heart to not be able to give them anything, even if it’s only a $20 Walmart gift card. And James is super special. But I don’t think he understands as well as his dad does.
Ima gitchoo! Beautiful Kitteh looks ready for BUSINESS!
Good morning. I hope you slept well.
I’m still iffy when it comes to the emotions and feel like I’m going to break down any minute. I was up in the night again, and that’s never good.
It’s still undecided as whether I’ll make it to church or not. And usually, if it’s undecided, it’s probably better I don’t go. I’ll see how I feel when I’ve had my shower.
Good happy Sunday, Wordlers!
Another successful hunt brings my Triples back up to 10 behind the Fivers.
